The Convenant of Peace(The Path of Rest Round About)
By Apostle Joshua Selman

Isaiah 54:10

Peace(Shalom) means the absence of war, strife and turbulence. It also includes wholeness, harmony, prosperity, and rest. It also includes permanent and longevity.

It is a state where every aspect of your life is working and is in harmony with God’s divine order.

Genesis 24:1, Joshua 21:44, Isaiah 33:6, Matthew 11:28, Isaiah 9:6

What gives us the basis to have this peace

Genesis 12:2, Galatians 3:13-14, Proverbs 10:22

2 Dimensions of peace

  1. Rest and peace in the means of storms

    Isaiah 43:2, Daniel 3:16

Your conviction must be greater than the challenges above you

Storms in life are real. Never mock people going through storms and difficult seasons, because you may one day need the wisdom or lessons they've gained to go through yours.

But take heart: Even in the midst of the storm, there is always hope for the Believer.

Jesus Christ was right there with His disciples when the storm arose, even as they were on the verge of sinking.

Faith is not only about obtaining promises, it can also be about obtaining a track record of trust in God, over time and until the end.

  2. Deliverance - A rescue from calamity, rest round about.

Provided God says a thing, the response of the Believer must be "AMEN". The Believer is not at liberty to say "Amen" selectively.

Believers must respect the intelligence behind the speaking and declaration of God, and respond with "AMEN!"

    Psalm 91:10 - 12, Daniel 3:24-25, Luke 18:2

Keys to the covenant of peace

  1. A life of total surrender to the lordship of Jesus

    2 Chronicles 15:15, Ecclesiastes 9:15, proverbs 3:5-6, psalm 125:3-5

  2. Obedience

No amount of prayers, confession, spiritual activities, not even impaction will substitute the need for obedience.

    John 2:5, 8 - 11, Hebrews 4:1-2

Obedience requires a thorough knowledge of God’s word.

    Luke 19:41-42

  3. Meditating on God’s word.

You deepen your understanding and strengthen your convictions as you meditate on God’s promises for your life.

    John 14:27, Philippians 4:7, 2 Corinthians 4:18, Philippians 4:8

Don't hate on people, but guard your mentality.

Peace is war. The price for peace is warfare. In this case in the mind

  4. A life of prayer

A life of prayer is responsible for spiritual growth and stability
