RECAP: THREE DIMENSIONS OF HELP
- Help as Support and Assistance
- Help as Strengthening or Empowerment
- Help as Rescue or Deliverance
The two assignments of help: to make things possible and to make things easy.
KEY PRINCIPLES ESTABLISHED:
- Men succeed in life and destiny to the degree to which they find help
- God helps men - Psalm 121: "I will lift up my eyes unto the hills. From whence cometh my help? My help cometh from the Lord"
THREE REASONS WHY WE NEED HELP:
- All men, even at their best, are limited and incapacitated
- Human factors - injustice, greed, selfishness, sentiments, and biases can interrupt outcomes even when you do everything right
- The reality of Satan and demonic forces - their determination to frustrate God's program necessitates divine help
CHARACTERISTICS OF GOD'S HELP:
- God sends help on time - He is our ever-present help, not late help
- God's help produces tangible effect - it must be significant enough to make an impact
FIVE CHANNELS THROUGH WHICH GOD HELPS MEN
1. Supernatural Intervention
Deuteronomy 26:6-9 - "The Egyptians evil entreated us and afflicted us and laid upon us hard bondage. And when we cried unto the Lord God of our fathers, the Lord heard our voice and looked on our affliction and our labor and our oppression. And the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm and with great terribleness and with signs and with wonders."
Examples: Uzziah, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, Daniel in the lion's den
2. Through the Ministry of Angels
Hebrews 1:14 - "Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for them who shall be the heirs of salvation?"
Examples:
- Angels rescued Lot from Sodom and Gomorrah
- Angels ministered to Jesus after His temptation
- Angels delivered Peter from prison
- An angel appeared to Paul during the storm
3. Through the Ministry of Men
Psalm 115:16 - "The heaven of heavens belong to the Lord, but the earth hath he given to the children of men."
John 5:7 - The man at Bethesda said, "I have no man" - his issue was the absence of human help.
Men minister at three levels:
- Men above you - Mentors, coaches, endorsers who provide leverage
- Men at your level - Friends, allies, contemporaries
- Men below you - Mentees, aids, even critics
Biblical examples of men God uses:
- Bezalel and Oholiab - creativity and skill
- Jethro - wise counsel
- The wine presser - who remembered Joseph
- The slave girl - who directed Naaman to healing
- Aaron and Hur - who held up Moses's hands
- Jonathan - loyal friendship
- Rahab - who hid the spies
- Naomi - who counseled Ruth
- Boaz - a good man and redeemer
- Joshua - who stood with Moses
- Cyrus and Pharaoh - endorsers and gatekeepers
- Even Judas - adversaries can initiate glory
Important principle: Honor all men because you don't know which person is part of your divine program. The Bible says to honor all men, then specifically to honor the king.

About Judas: The only useless part of Judas's story was his killing himself. He could have waited for Jesus to resurrect and asked for forgiveness like Peter did. Judas was not an evil man, just a selfish man. Jesus selected him knowing his role. Sometimes God allows adversaries that are necessary for your destiny to unfold.
Key insight: If you were to select the variables for your own destiny, you would select people who love you too much to let you emerge. Their love would prevent the challenges necessary for your growth.
Romans 8:28 - "All things work together for good" - this includes difficult people and situations.
4. Through the Prophetic Ministry
Hosea 12:13 - "And by a prophet the Lord brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet he was established."
When God wants to send help, especially as empowerment and deliverance, He often uses the prophetic.
5. Through the Ministry of the Holy Spirit (The Helper Himself)
Zechariah 4:6 - "Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord."
2 Corinthians 3:5 - "Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves, but our sufficiency is of God."
Ephesians 6:10 - "Be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might."
Romans 8:26 - "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities."
HOW THE HOLY SPIRIT HELPS:
1. Reveals the Will of God
This is crucial because the administration of God's power is connected to His will. The power of God only works within the jurisdiction of the will of God.
2. Guides Us Into All Truth
John 16:13 - "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth."
Important distinction: Just having truth doesn't mean it will benefit you. Truth is like ingredients for a meal - you still need to know how to combine them properly.
Examples:
- You can give in a way that brings losses because you weren't guided
- You can fast in a way that brings demons because you weren't shown how to fast profitably
- Even Satan uses "it is written" as raw material for destruction
Difference between Direction and Guidance:
- Direction - focused on the final destination
- Guidance - focused on the process and steps that lead to the destination
Joseph had direction (the dream of sun, moon, and stars bowing), but he needed guidance step by step.
3. Empowers Us
Two types of empowerment:
a) Empowerment to Live Like Christ
The fruit of the Spirit is actually the fruit of the Holy Spirit - God's virtue manifested through a recreated human spirit.
When you look for "good people," what you're actually looking for is the fruit of the Spirit in men. Qualities like politeness, loyalty, and honesty - these are God's qualities. Only one filled with the Holy Spirit can manifest Christlike, godlike character.
b) Empowerment for Service
Micah 3:8 - "But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the Lord."
Acts 1:8 - "But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you."
CRITICAL TEACHING: THE THREE-FOLD FULLNESS OF CHRIST
When the Holy Spirit comes, the first assignment is to make you before you are used. The challenge in Pentecostal/charismatic circles is focusing only on power for service while neglecting transformation.
The Fullness of Christ Has Three Components:
- The Nature of Christ - Character, the fruit of the Spirit
- The Wisdom of Christ - The mysteries and principles of the kingdom
- The Power of Christ - Signs, wonders, and miracles
Problems When These Are Imbalanced:
Nature WITHOUT Wisdom and Power:
- Produces consecrated people with character
- But they never build anything, can't be leaders, remain poor
- Their children may eventually fight them, asking "What kind of God did my father serve?"

Wisdom WITHOUT Nature and Power:
- Can build companies and empires
- Great leaders, but they are crooks
- Everything they touch succeeds, but you can't trust who they are
Power WITHOUT Nature and Wisdom:
- Signs and wonders, incredible anointing
- But character problems persist
- The best way to receive from them is from afar
The Proper Order in Raising People:
- First: Nature of Christ (transformation)
- Second: Wisdom of Christ (understanding)
- Third: Power of Christ (empowerment for service)
Jesus trained disciples for 3.5 years, THEN said "tarry" for power. The first assignment was "Come follow me and I will make you." When God calls you, He calls you to Himself first, then sends you to the nations.
Important Principle: Don't be too quick to lay hands on people for impartation. They need transformation first, then wisdom, then power.
Financial Example: The moment you get born again, over 70% of the ways the world prospers are now out of bounds for you (corruption, bribes, etc.). If you don't know the kingdom's 30% formula for prosperity, your life is in trouble. You can have the nature of Christ, but without the wisdom of Christ, your children will ask questions when you die in debt like the prophet's widow.
Proverbs 21:20 - "There is treasure and oil to be desired in the house of the wise, but a foolish man spendeth it up."
Diagnostic Tool: Use this assessment as your tool for deliverance. On a scale of 1-10, rate yourself in:
- Nature of Christ
- Wisdom of Christ
- Power of Christ
Whatever is lacking, upgrade it. This applies to raising children, new converts, and building companies.
1 Corinthians 3 - Paul calls those who understand this architecture "wise master builders."
THREE KEYS TO ACTIVATING THE HELP OF GOD
KEY #1: MAINTAIN A POSTURE OF BROKENNESS AND HUMILITY
Psalm 51:17 - "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise."
"Blessed are the poor in spirit" - perpetually aware that you are insufficient without God.
Psalm 34:18 - "The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart, and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit."
Proverbs 3:5-6 - "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths."
Parable of Two Men Praying: One came boasting of his righteousness. Another came saying "Lord, I'm not even worth it." God cannot resist genuine brokenness - if God had a weakness, it would be brokenness.
Example: Simon Peter denied Jesus three times, but when confronted, he was broken. Jesus still said "Feed my sheep."
Key Truth: You can find someone who may not even be born again, but because of their posture of brokenness and sincerity of heart, God is attracted to them. One proof that you've become like Christ is that you become merciful.
Blind Bartimaeus cried "Thou son of David, have mercy on me!" He was the only one Jesus didn't ask "Do you have faith?" When someone cries for mercy, you cannot say you are like Christ and not have mercy.
Warning About Pride: When you approach God saying "Father, 2026, I have it figured out. All I just need is your blessing," He will let you try it alone until experience teaches you otherwise. But someone who comes broken, acknowledging their insufficiency, attracts God's help.
Practical Application for 2026:
- Maintain a broken heart (not kneeling posture, but heart posture)
- Acknowledge God's supremacy, mercy, love, and power
- Give glory to God with joy
- Don't brag that things happened by your strength
- If you can't say something that gives glory to God, stay silent
KEY #2: PRAY THE PRAYER OF MERCY AND HELP
Receiving help from God works based on a call and response system.
Psalm 107:6 - "Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses."
When you are in trouble, don't keep quiet - cry and shout and call upon the Lord! Don't let those who say "keep quiet, you're disturbing the Master" stop you.

Practical Tips For Building Strong Intimacy
by Pastor Mildred Kingsley-Okonkwo
Proverbs 18:10 - "The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous runneth into it, and is safe."
It's YOUR responsibility to run into it. A hospital doesn't go around looking for patients - you find your way to the hospital.
James 4:2 - "Ye have not, because ye ask not."
John 16:24 - "Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name; ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full."
Example: Moses at the Red Sea
Exodus 14:14-15 - Moses calmed the people first (leadership principle), then went to God crying. God said "Why criest thou unto me? Tell the people to go forward."
It is better to cry before God than to cry before your mountain. Your mountain has no compassion.
Prayer Is Not Optional:
- Prayerlessness is sin
- Prayerlessness is pride
- Prayerlessness is proof of independence
- The highest level of pride is prayerlessness
Hebrews 11:6 - "He that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."
Two things you must believe:
- God exists (He's alive, not an idol)
- He rewards those who seek Him
The laxity in prayer is proof that you don't yet trust God's ability. If you truly believed there was a gold mine near your house, distance wouldn't be a barrier.
KEY #3: SOW THE SEEDS OF HELP
Help is a harvest.
Galatians 6:7-8 - "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap."
When it comes to sowing and reaping, God is actively involved and watching. If sowing and reaping doesn't work, it's a mockery on God.
The Seed Called "WHATSOEVER":
There's a powerful seed called "whatsoever" - it includes:
- Wickedness or kindness
- Hatred or love
- Backbiting or encouragement
- Nonchalance or compassion
Every man is a farmer, whether they admit it or not. Once you sow the seed called "whatsoever," God immediately begins to supervise the harvest.
Matthew 5:7 - "Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy."
If someone cries and it's within your power to show them help, but you don't - you are sowing seeds of nonchalance. Then when you go to God needing help, you're mocking Him because you've sown seasons of dryness.
God Himself Uses This Principle:
When God wanted many sons, He carried His Son as a seed and sowed Him to the earth, bringing a harvest of many sons. Even God didn't violate this principle.
Generational Impact of Sowing:
You can sow for yourself AND for those coming after you. Many people today benefit not from their personal righteousness, but from fathers who sowed seeds.
Examples:
- When missionaries came, ancestors created spaces for prayer
- God swore a blessing to the third and fourth generation
- Some children aren't serious with God but remain protected because of covenant covering from ancestors' seeds
Conversely, some must change their surname to escape negative harvests from demonic seeds their ancestors planted.
Your Life as Legacy: At the end of your life, your life will either be a key or a padlock - it will open doors or close doors for generations.
Seeds of Mercy Examples:
- Bringing people to church in your car when nobody knows
- Giving scholarships with your limited resources
- Sowing into the man of God's comfort while he serves
- Showing kindness to people without expecting anything back
God is watching, and a memorial is rising in the spirit for your children and your children's children.
Prayer for Parents: "Lord, any battle that is not for my children's generation, let me fight it. I will pay the price. But it must end with me."
Many people today are still fighting their father's battles - troubles created when parents were in government, people they insulted, dishonor they showed. Don't pass your battles to the next generation.
Three Levels of Knowledge for Victory:
- Knowledge of God (highest)
- Knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom
- Knowledge in your field of endeavor (education - lowest of the three)
If you only have secular education without kingdom knowledge and knowledge of God, you're in trouble.
Warning About Wickedness:
Some people have spent a major part of their lives being wicked. The tree of wickedness they sowed is now matured, and it's time for harvest. They will need to cry the cry of mercy.
Principles About Sowing:
- Prayerlessness is a seed
- Spiritual vibrancy is a seed
- Carnality is a seed
- Laziness is a seed
- Financial intelligence is a seed
- Diligence is a seed
- Cutting corners is a seed
- Integrity is a seed
About Seasons:
Some people are doing the right thing, but it's not their season yet. Don't change - just wait and keep doing it. No matter what you do, if it's not your season, nobody will see you. But when your season comes, night will turn to day and people will start calling you with honor.
THREE WAYS TO RESPOND TO GOD'S HELP (To Maintain the Flow)
1. Thanksgiving
Psalm 136:1-5
2. Testify of His Goodness
Psalm 22:22 - "I will declare thy name unto my brethren; in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee."
Let there be a witness in the world of men that God visited you. (Note: Use wisdom - some testimonies should only be shared with the man of God to avoid attracting trouble.)
3. Use the Blessings to Bring Glory to His Name
Whether financial, anointing, or increase - use it for God's glory. Don't get carried away when things start working. This is the key to maintaining the flow.
THE REFLECTION PRINCIPLE:
John 17:1 - "Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee."
Galatians 1:24 - "And they glorified God in me."
When God sees that He's going to get maximum glory through your life, that's when He releases His help fully. Nothing frustrates the continuous flow of God's grace like standing in the way of God and wanting to take credit yourself.
Before men meet us, let's make sure they meet Him first. There's only one person who deserves to stand in front of the cross - the one who died on it. Every other person must hide behind the cross.
FINAL PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
- All doors open in 2026 - marital, financial, spiritual, ministry, career
- Satan's hindrances to your helpers are removed
- Barriers, obstacles, and limitations to your helpers are removed
- Your helpers arrive in a hurry, smashing through doors and breaking through walls
- You become a helper to many, a blessing to nations
- No spell, enchantment, divination, or sorcery will catch up with you
- Your life will not be cut short
- Arrows of the wicked will miss their target
- Favor, speed, increase, multiplication, and advancement locate you
- You start, continue, and finish strong by the help of God
- You enter your wealthy place - from pain to gain, from lack to surplus, from begging to giving
- Healing in your body - cancer, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, high blood pressure, diabetes, bone disease, blood disease, brain tumor OUT
- Attacks of the night and in dreams - door shut, bottle shut
- No weapon formed against you will prosper
- Generational patterns break now
