Rebuilding is a restorative process. It starts with an accurate diagnosis of what caused the breakdown. A broken wall is a figure for decline and degeneration of any sort

3 causes of broken walls for an individual: a departure and disconnection from God and his ordinances Isaiah 24:5, the absence of wisdom and understanding Proverbs 24:3-4, the absence of vision and purpose Proverbs 29:18

Through wisdom a house is built. By me kings reign, with me are riches, wealth and honor Proverbs 8:15-18

4 causes for nations: a departure from God 2 Chronicles 15:3-6, the church failing to rise as light and salt Matthew 5:13-16, lack of visionary and transformative leadership, lack of systems, policies and institutions that preserve visions and projects

In redeeming lands, it is the business of God and his people 2 Chronicles 7:14. The church is the pillar and ground of truth 1 Timothy 3:15

Rebuilding happens at 4 levels

1. The individual. God restores fire, hunger, consecration, the ordinances of intimacy: prayer, the word, fellowship with the spirit
2. The priesthood. The spiritual voices and the prophetic intercessors set the spiritual climate and build the body of believers to maturity and stature. When Satan fights the program of God in a territory he starts with the priesthood. He fights their consecration or corrupts the purity of the message. Usually both
3. The church. Believers are exposed to 3 ministries: the Holy Spirit, the word and prayer, the teaching priest. They journey from salvation to transformation to empowerment until released as witnesses. The assignment of the fivefold is not to maintain membership but to grow believers from infants to visionaries, ambassadors, agents of change, architects of hope
4. The territory. God builds the men who will build the nation, like living stones built into a spiritual house 1 Peter 2:5. God reforms the men who will reform the nation

The task of rebuilding at any level is collective. It requires unity, synergy and personal responsibility. Deliver yourself from the mentality of insignificance

The real value of a person to God's program is not in being saved. Salvation is for your own profit. When you become an ambassador, you become an advantage to the program of God

Nation building and territorial transformation

Ezekiel 36:33-36 (NIV), Jeremiah 30:18-22 (NIV)

Everybody can be used by God, but not everyone will be. Being available is wonderful but not enough. There are non-negotiable conditions for anyone seeking to be a reformer, a transformer, an architect of hope

6 credentials of a rebuilder

1. Unconditional passion for God and total dependence on God

Proverbs 3:5-7

God is looking for men who love the king more than they love rebuilding the wall

Nehemiah did not start as a rebuilder. He started as the cupbearer of the king. Those who are cupbearers eventually become rebuilders

Most of those who champion the gospel across Africa knew they had the call of God, but their focus was loving him and living for him. It was on account of their faithfulness before the king that they were empowered to rebuild destinies and nations

Love him more than ministry, titles, assignments, vision. Ministry can become an idol. The walls can become an idol

God can send you and you dismiss yourself from his presence

Love God regardless of the outcomes of your life. My love for God is not tied to things working or not working

It is a dangerous orientation to connect your trust and love for God to results. Believers must be taught unconditional love for God

Job said, though he slay me, yet will I trust him Job 13:15. God is good all the time, my situation notwithstanding

2. High level spiritual illumination and intelligence alongside the empowerment required

Jeremiah 3:15

We are trusted with the spirits, the minds and the destinies of the people we lead. More than maintaining membership, be intentional in building believers

If Jesus were your member, would he be able to fulfill his assignment? Could you raise Jesus, Joseph or Daniel?

Building believers is a very intentional project. There is a great responsibility to raise a generation of consecrated, enlightened, responsible, vibrant, empowered believers

The journey is salvation, transformation, empowerment, purpose

Transformation is the process that makes you become like Christ in experience

It takes the life of Christ plus the mind of Christ to produce a matured and victorious believer

The life of Christ without the mind of Christ is like a brand new gadget that is not powered to function

Unbelievers have pieced together bodies of truth like the mind of Christ, and they built empires. They reject his life

Believers have the life of Christ but the value of that life is not seen. It is the mind of Christ that gives room for the riches embedded in his life to be revealed

The life of Christ comes at salvation. The mind of Christ is received through the methodical process of transformation

4 elements of the ministry of the word. Without all four, growth is lopsided

1. Doctrine, the foundational beliefs of the faith
2. The principles of the kingdom. The kingdom is a culture, there is a way we do things. They are called the mysteries of the kingdom
3. Wisdom for living, to relate with a mixed multitude and live as sheep among wolves Matthew 10:16
4. A word compliant worldview. A believer looks at politics, governance and economy through the lens of the word

Dominion is maturity dependent. The price for dominion is transformation. You cannot walk in dominion in ignorance

Isaiah 60:1 (Amplified), arise from the depression and frustration that circumstances have kept you. Rise to a new light. Go for exact knowledge, knowledge that brings value

Isaiah 9:2, John 1:5, 2 Timothy 3:15, Acts 20:32, Ephesians 4:18

• May the eyes of your understanding be enlightened, that you understand the hope of his calling and the exceeding greatness of his power towards you who believe Ephesians 1:15-21.
• You will no longer walk in ignorance. The word of Christ will dwell in you richly in all wisdom Colossians 3:16.
• May the grace for an appetite for knowledge and revelation rest upon you.

3. A clear vision of God's end time agenda alongside the mission of restoration

You cannot serve in a program you are ignorant of. A new employee gets an orientation on why the firm exists and what goals it seeks

We call it the thy kingdom come project, the great commission. Believers and preachers have only bits and pieces of God's program

God's program is divided into 3:

• For the unbelieving world: world evangelization, world missions
• For the church: maturity and stature through discipleship. Deepening consecration, exposure to the resources of a victorious life, connection to purpose
• For territories, nations and society: territorial transformation

The Christian faith is transformative. It never leaves a person or territory the way it meets it

Change starts from the moral fabric of society by introducing the value system of the kingdom

There is the message that saves and the value system that transforms. They are all called the gospel

You can be saved as a person and your territory remain depraved. Lot was righteous 2 Peter 2:7-8 but Sodom and Gomorrah was not a good place Genesis 19. He almost lost his daughters, he eventually lost his wife. Your territory must adopt the value system of the kingdom

Evangelism plus discipleship plus territorial transformation. Many have taught evangelism alone, others discipleship alone without transitioning the people

Discipleship leaves you transformed, but purpose turns a transformed believer into a witness. God defines the geography of witness for you: media, business, politics, governance

When you pray "your kingdom come" Matthew 6:10 you are saying your rule, your government, your culture, your value system. Let it first affect the hearts of men and then every strata of human activity

4. Understand the Godman partnership

We are co-labourers with God 1 Corinthians 3:9. This is the responsibility component of the Christian faith

God's program can fail over an individual, a family, a nation. It remains a prophetic reality until he finds responsible men who come into divine partnership

It is God and you that will birth his program in Kenya, in your family

Every territory void of the influence of the kingdom shows men who failed to understand their role and responsibility

"Here am I, send me" is a statement of responsibility. I understand you have a program and it is in partnership with you that it is born

Revival has no date. The day the revival agents are ready is the day revival comes. Revival, transformation, productivity and development can be prolonged

You are not only members of a church, citizens of Kenya, members of a family. You are co-labourers

5. A king priest mentality

You cannot be a true rebuilder if you do not subscribe to the Melchizedek order of dominion. Believers are not at liberty to choose their strategy

Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the most high Genesis 14:18, Hebrews 7:1. Priest unto God and king of Salem

Priesthood is your devotion unto God. The kingly dimension is dominion and relevance within your sphere of influence

Some chose to remain priests and ignore their kingly responsibility. Others focus on being kings without the ordinances of priesthood

It is your priesthood that powers you in the palace and in the marketplace. Priest unto God, king in the media space, king in business

6. They understand the power of unity

No single man, no matter how yielded, can successfully birth the program of God. One man cannot be called the church. You are a member of the body

It takes synergy, cooperation and unity to advance the kingdom and build any society

Reformers play their role effectively while stretching their hands to receive the contribution of other reformers

The church must sustain the humility and maturity to embrace the ministry of the body, not just the ministry of individuals

If every believer listens to one preacher alone, there is a dimension of growth they will not have. Vision creates limitation, I cannot see what is behind me. God raises others to cover the gaps where your eyes cannot see

Do not go around singing Saul killed 1,000 and David killed 10,000 1 Samuel 18:7. Honor everyone. The one who does a Rhema Feast and the one who disciples 10 men are both contributors

Unity does not mean embracing everything and everyone. There are verifications. There are certain things believed among us, and if you do not believe them you are simply not a Christian

Graces differ, experiences with God differ, consecrations differ, levels of investedness differ, so results differ. We must have maturity to respect the dealings of God in one another's lives

Respect the missionary in the backside of Kenya who is not on social media, the intercessor like Anna the prophetess Luke 2:36-37 whom no one knows, and those who are vocal and visible. All of us together make that reformation army

I am passionate about God but I hate fanaticism. We must advocate the rise of passionate believers but not fanatics. The difference between fanaticism and passion is knowledge, responsibility and maturity

I studied the monuments of the forefathers in Boston to learn what built nations like the US. The secret of the future is in yesterday, the thing that was is the thing that is to come Ecclesiastes 1:9. Africa is our season

Those from other nations will catch this fire and go back to replicate it in their nations. The promise is unto you, your children and all who are far off Acts 2:39

Elements that make a nation great

1. Vision

The ability to see things as they ought to be, not as they are, with the determination to see that picture manifest

Build according to the pattern that was shown you Exodus 25:40. It is not enough to see. You must have the determination to see it manifest in experience

Vision is a picture of a clearly defined future, clear enough to be imprinted in the minds of citizens

Write the vision and make it clear so he who reads it will run Habakkuk 2:2. The pace of followership depends on the clarity of vision. A CEO who alone understands where the company is going will have frustrated followers who turn back

Clarity of vision is one of the elements of unity. No nation becomes great without vision

2. Well defined values and policies

Values define people's ideas about life and give them a template for living and conducting themselves

Crime, corruption, laziness, injustice, entitlement are not just vices. They are belief systems

Justice, fairness, diligence, competence, productivity, moral excellence, respect are also belief systems

Spiritual, political and all leaders must define the values that govern a territory, with rewards for those who keep them, not just punishments for those who violate. The human spirit works by motivation

3. Education

The ability to read, to write, to communicate effectively, to think constructively, and to use knowledge acquired as a tool to build solutions. Anything short of this is not education

Education must be redefined as the proper use of knowledge to answer questions, meet needs, build solutions and solve problems

A certificate that attests to the longevity of your stay in an institution is not education

4. Visionary and transformative leadership

Leadership is the ability to harness and coordinate human and material resources to meet a common predefined goal. It is a mentality that makes the most of every resource and every opportunity

Put structures in place for leadership development across all age ranges, formal and informal

Leadership starts with everybody: the father, the elder brother, the sister

Every national problem was a regional problem not solved by leaders there. Every regional problem was a community problem. Every community problem was a family problem. Those perpetuating crime came from homes

Fix your own constituency. A responsible son becomes a responsible CEO becomes a responsible governor

Men hear you as a preacher, but they only follow you when you become a leader

Reformers are leaders. Builders are leaders. Transformers are leaders. All believers should be leaders

Assignment: clean your house, fix the parlor. Pay your children's fees on time. Take care of your wife, your husband. Siblings, respect your parents. Parents, honor your children and be kind to them. Members, respect pastors. Pastors, do not take members for granted. That is leadership

• Let great leaders arise from here, not just people seeking offices and titles, but people with the mentality of responsibility.
• Church, government and business leaders, come up with programs intentional in building leadership capacity.

5. Economic strength

Citizens must learn value and productivity, effective resource management and investment from a young age

Learning to be economically emancipated at 40 or 50 is almost too late, because it takes time to build wealth with integrity

Programs must be created that build a sense of economic responsibility in everyone

No nation can be economically emancipated with a dependency mentality

Waiting for superstition, or abusing grace and favor as a license for irresponsibility. Dump that mentality. It is not grace available that profits. It is grace received, grace utilized and grace maximized

Families, schools, churches and government must structure programs that teach financial intelligence, void of gimmicks, superstitious practices and fraud

6. Excellent and functional security architecture at all levels

Security goes beyond government. It is everybody's responsibility. The man who forgot to lock his car, the door left unattended, those are irresponsibility

Cultured conversation keeps security. Careless words can heat up a territory

Speaking right, love and kindness, unity and brotherhood are contributions to security

Government creates a secure environment that attracts foreign direct investment. Citizens are stewards of the estate God gave us called Kenya

Nobody will invest where there are security problems

Killing greed in your life is a security strategy

7. Faith and spirituality

For the African continent, faith is the number one influencer of values, morals and actions. People think, act and behave in ways that reflect their spiritual convictions about God and life

Love, peace, giving, tolerance, forgiveness, diligence, justice, fairness are what the Bible calls the fruit of the spirit. They are faith derived virtues

Faith almost always destroys when it degenerates to fanaticism and extremism

Practiced responsibly and with integrity, faith becomes a major catalyst for nation building and territorial transformation

To the emerging generation: be careful who mentors you into understanding God and faith. Do not replace passion with extremism. Extremism hurts. Extremism kills

The savior stands before you

John 3:16-17

Jesus is beyond the founder of a religion called Christianity. The Bible calls him the son of the living God, the propitiation for our sin 1 John 2:2

There is no other name under heaven given unto men by which we should be saved Acts 4:12

All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. By the justice of God no one can stand before God guiltless Romans 3:23

Jesus came as an emissary of mercy. God gave us Jesus as a gift. Through his substitutionary sacrifice he made available a new and living way Hebrews 10:20

Whosoever believes in him should not perish but have life everlasting. God did not send his son to condemn the world but that the world through him might be saved

In the day you hear his voice, harden not your heart Hebrews 3:15

He has to first be savior before he becomes king over your life
