Gratitude waters the hand of God

A casual "thank you" is not gratitude. The weight of the sacrifice behind a gift is not the same whether God gives 1,000 or gives 1 billion, so gratitude has to match the depth of his goodness, not just the routine.

Ingratitude is sin. It cuts short the flow of grace, mercy and help. The moment you see God's hand begin to move, even before the full answer arrives, water it with gratitude.

Psalm 107:31-32

Six channels through which God reaches his people in a service

1. Heartfelt worship, open from the very start, not just when the preaching begins
2. Faith building teaching
3. Strategic prayer, releasing faith intelligently
4. The prophetic, in its healing, revelatory and deliverance dimensions
5. The altar call and salvation
6. Fellowship of the brethren, receiving horizontally through the people around you, not only vertically from the pulpit

What God is set to do in a miracle service

Matthew 9:35

1. Setting captives free and bringing liberty to the oppressed
2. Bringing healing and life to the sick
3. Bringing healing, hope and peace to the brokenhearted and emotionally wounded. Emotional wounds are real wounds, a broken spirit can dry the bones
4. Restoration of things, people and opportunities
5. Clarity and direction for the confused and stagnated
6. An abundant supply of wisdom that opens the way to the next level

Four keys to prepare your heart to receive from God

1. All true and lasting help comes from God and God alone

   Coming to God means taking away the possibility of a plan B. Many carry idols alongside their prayers, pride, a degree, a certificate, hoping God only needs to add a small push. No man in this kingdom is self-made. A door that opens without God can still lead to a prison.

2. You must believe that God desires your good

   If you don't know this, the devil will use your circumstances to convince you God hates you. Your rising, your prospering, your healing, your children's school fees paid without stress, all of it brings glory to God. Away with the narrative that God is glorified in your pain. He can bring glory out of pain, but pain was never the goal.

3. It will require faith to receive from God, and faith to manifest what has been received

   Receiving and having are two different things. You can receive and never see it manifest. Faith is vision dependent, so define your "this" before you pray, be specific rather than vague.

   From Matthew 9:27-30: Jesus asked the two blind men, "Believe ye that I am able to do this?" and healed them "according to your faith." Faith also requires believing in the vessel God chooses to use, not God alone.

   Like a shepherd who chases two legs and a piece of an ear out of a lion's mouth to recover his sheep, God still pursues a life, ministry or family that looks destroyed down to almost nothing.

   Amos 3:12

   Son of man, can these dry bones live? Every dry bone, every dry and failing organ, come alive now in the name of Jesus. Every garment of shame and reproach, torn away forever.

   Faith rests on two things about God, his integrity and his ability. He keeps his word, and he is able to perform it.

   To pray for increased faith is really to ask for three things, a greater capacity to believe God, consistency in what you speak, and the grace to act in obedience.

4. Expect the anointing to flow to you in response to your faith
