Instruments for Your Good
The anchor text is taken from Matthew 2:4: and when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.
You know the story about baby Jesus, King Herod, and the wise men. But consider something good about the story.
The wise men saw the star of Jesus and followed it down to Jerusalem from the east. They knew they had come to the region where Jesus was born — but they didn't know the particular place. Why did the star disappear after leading them to Jerusalem? Why did it not lead directly to the manger in Bethlehem — instead leading them first to an enemy?
God desires that your enemies should be troubled for your sake.
While the enemies are troubled about your prophecy coming to pass and fashioning out ways to bring you down — they become instruments for advertising you.
Herod Unknowingly Broadcast the Prophecy
Unknown to Herod, he announced and publicized the fulfillment of the prophecy long waited for. He gathered all the people together and started demanding from them where Christ would be born — thereby broadcasting His birth.
Radio stations, TV stations, various forms of social media have had issues raised against certain men of God that they thought would bring them down. But God turned them around for good.
I don't know those on a mission to stop your impact in life. But there is one thing I know and am very sure of — they shall project you to limelight. They will be instruments for your promotion.
- My Father, use my enemies for my good.
- Let every force fashioned against me become a vehicle of my promotion.
- Let every attempt to bury me become a platform that lifts me.
- As enemies gather in counsel against me, let them broadcast what God is doing in my life.
May your fulfillment trouble your enemies. May God use them to spread your testimony. Every enemy on a mission against you — may they become your greatest advertiser, in the name of Jesus.
