Hear the Word of the Lord

2 Kings 7:1

The message is titled It Is an Emergency.

Elisha said, "Hear the word of the Lord." He had to first call their attention to listening to what God is saying. So many times God is speaking, but man is not listening. The problem is not the word of the Lord. The problem is not God speaking — the problem is man listening. Somebody's hearing doesn't mean they're listening.

The word you hear and receive is your key to manifestation. The word of God can come, but you don't receive it. The word of God can come, but you don't believe it. The word of God can come, but you don't comprehend it. The word of God can come and you do not put your faith in it. So even though the word is all over you, it is the one you put your faith to work, the one you activate, that produces the answer for you.

Until your word comes, your world is not created. It is your word that creates your world. What you keep saying — it doesn't matter what is happening. If you refuse to say it, it can't stay.

The kind of world you want should determine the kind of word you hear. Don't hang around places of defeat. Don't hang around places of pain. Don't hang around places of negativity.

If you want to have sound health, it's beyond what you eat, it's beyond what you drink — it is what you hear. If you want to stay ever fresh, ever agile, ever young, control what you hear, what you allow and permit into your spirit man. Negativity and toxicity should not thrive around you.

Specificity Is the Key to Destiny Elasticity

Elisha said, "By this time tomorrow a measure of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel in the gate of Samaria." He was very direct. Specificity is the key to destiny elasticity. An elastic destiny, an expansive destiny beyond the reach of the enemy, is on the platform of a personalized word.

Concerning Joseph, the scripture says, "Until the time his word came" — not the word, but his word. When you pick up the word of God and read it, put your name there. Be specific.

Revelations are invasions. When a revelation comes, it invades a system, it invades an atmosphere. An economy was invaded by revelation. Whether it is barrenness, revelations can invade it. Whether it is confusion, revelations can invade it. Whether it is financial struggle, we came to invade that condition. Revelations don't negotiate — they invade. Once light appears, light invades darkness.

Revelations Are Time-Connected

"By this time tomorrow." Revelations are time-connected. Every revelation has a gestation period, an incubation period, a time. Revelations are like fire — give it a little time, it causes havoc. It invades. Revelations are fire with time.

The word of God is a token. A token is something that represents something greater. In that word "be blessed, prosper" — in that word is safety, pregnancy, expansion, breakthrough, productivity. The word of God is your token.

What Triggers Divine Emergencies

Emergencies are situations that require immediate attention — objective happenings initiated to mitigate damage. Why will God initiate emergencies? To prevent further damage. To forestall pain. Sometimes emergencies happen because God is positioning somebody for an emergency lifting.

Boaz was not the man originally meant to marry Ruth — there was another kinsman redeemer closer in line. When that man heard Ruth was part of the deal, he said, "I cannot redeem it, lest I mar my own inheritance." He was judging her based on her condition. He exterminated his entire lineage by judging people on face value. That person this man rejected was a grandmother of David. Boaz's name is in the genealogy of Christ. Matthew 1:5. The unnamed kinsman redeemer became infinitely and consequentially irrelevant — because by himself he abdicated responsibility.

There are things and times that heaven is triggered for urgent manifestation. Elisha said, "By this time tomorrow, I'm not waiting anymore." Heaven is speaking over somebody now: by this time tomorrow, what you have been expecting will come to you.

The plan of God was to complete the salvation of the Jews first, then come to the Gentiles. But somebody fast-forwarded the divine calendar — Cornelius. He moved God ahead of schedule. Peter said, "While I was talking, the Holy Ghost came down upon them." You can hold Peter, but you can't hold the Holy Ghost.

When God Initiates Emergencies

Divine emergencies are initiated when:

1. Wickedness becomes a norm

   There are families where wickedness is a norm. People dying is normal. People being kept on the same spot is normal.

   1 John 5:19 — We know that we are of God but the whole world lies in wickedness.

   The story of the two women in the siege of Samaria — one said, "Let's boil your son today." 2 Kings 6:28-29. For a person to be prescribing how something should be eaten means she was practiced in wickedness. Wickedness. One of the elements of wicked people is dominance — it has to be about them, without them nobody rises.

   There are politicians today ruining the country while having children. It is easy to change when you have a heart for your people. We are in a generation where wickedness thrives. Isaiah 48:22, Isaiah 59:21 — there is no peace for the wicked, says the Lord.

   Galatians 3:1 — "Who has bewitched you, oh foolish?" One of the signs of bewitchment is foolishness — when somebody is bewitched they start behaving like a fool.

   Wickedness: going back on your word. A company isn't making money but you're changing cars while those working for you can't feed their children. Not all old age is long life — some people God keeps alive to punish them for what they did while young, that they die painful deaths so others will see the disadvantage.

   In all you do to people, remember you will not live forever.

2. Your life is under threat

   2 Kings 6:31 — The king said, "God do so and more to me if the head of Elisha the son of Shaphat still stands on him this day." His life was under threat. When there is threat, it triggers emergencies.

   There are people whose life, job, whole existence is under threat. Heaven will show up. In the name of Jesus, anyone who has threatened your life, threatened your job, threatened your health, threatened your children, threatened your career — God will reply them. Whether it's a strong man in your family, in your business, in your home — God will reply.

   My Father, my Father, in the name of Jesus, as I pray, you have my permission — enter my family, enter my wife's family, uproot every wicked man or woman. Let God arise. Let his enemies be scattered. Show yourself strong and mighty in my life. The Lord of hosts.

   Every threat on my life and destiny, known or unknown, receive divine response in the name of Jesus.

   There are known threats, but there are also silent threats — people who have declared a quiet, silent war. It becomes more terrible when those who are out to hurt you are very close, and you are not even aware. God is bringing divine response to every threat.

   Somebody will rise up as a strong man in the family and is threatening everybody, boasting about it — there is emergency.

   A woman came whose husband had left 11 properties. The man's younger brother took 10 and was fighting over the 11th. Her grown-up son suddenly became epileptic at 42. The daughter working in the judiciary in Benin had a stroke. She couldn't breathe. God gave divine instruction: in seven days, this man will follow your husband. And everything he took will come back.

   In the name of Jesus, heaven will show up for you. There will be divine emergency. Anyone who has threatened your life, your job, your health, your children, your existence, your career, your profession — God will reply them.
