Speak Only What God Says

We started speaking on the laws of faith and the first law is this: speak only what God says. If you didn't hear it from the mouth of God, don't say it. Don't let your feelings force themselves out of your mouth. Don't let your thoughts force themselves out of your mouth. Matthew 5:34 says take no thought saying what shall we eat, what shall we drink. The thought is flying in your mind — don't take it and say it. Don't give power to that thought by giving a voice to it.

Say only what God says. The Bible says the Lord has said, I will neither leave nor forsake you, so that we can boldly say — no matter how you feel, insist on what God said. The Bible says say to the righteous it shall be well.

In 2 Kings 4:18-26, the Shunammite woman's miracle child died right in her arms. She went up and laid him on the bed of the man of God and shut the door. Sometimes you have to lay your request upon your sacrifice. Some of us don't have an altar to lay anything on. Sometimes you need to build an altar. She had a sacrifice — she had built a house for the man of God and got him a bed. So she had somewhere to lay this on the day of need, on the day of emergency.

She called her husband and said, send me one of the young men that I may run to the man of God. She didn't tell the husband the problem. You cannot crowd-fund a miracle. It is not in multitude of counselors. It is not in the multitude of voices. Some people will put their problem on Facebook so that people can pray for them — they will use doubt, unbelief, fear to corrupt. Sometimes you need a very close, close company. This thing cannot happen with the crowd. Jesus used to send away the crowd.

Faith is certain, faith is sure. She rode with urgency. Don't give Satan time. He wants you to warm up to the way things really are. The task of the king requires haste. Be running fast now, before the enemy has time to sow seeds of doubt.

When she came to Elisha and he sent Gehazi to ask, is it well with thee, is it well with thy husband, is it well with the child? She answered, It is well. Her child was dead. Things were going upside down. But she maintained her confession. It is well. I am going to come out of this.

When she was bleeding, Jesus said: Mark 5:28. This woman kept saying — for she kept saying, if I may but touch the hem of his garment, I will be whole. She kept saying it. What you say after you have prayed matters.

Do Not Change Your Confession

You cannot change your confession on the account of a new information. You were supposed to travel abroad and suddenly they changed the policy — you will not change your confession on the account of that new information. You went to the doctor and they said something alarming — you will not change your confession on the account of that.

A woman got pregnant and declared my baby is coming. When the doctor said the pregnancy was ectopic, she said: Pastor Philip ordered this baby for me from heaven. It cannot be ectopic. I am not going to change my confession on the account of any new information. Everywhere she saw baby in scripture, it was baby in the womb. There is no ectopic in Bible. She went back and the doctor said not only is the baby rightly placed, there are now two. Two for your trouble.

Another man's Harvard admission was cancelled time after time. We maintained it. The thing we said is what we are still saying. Now he is fully there on a paid scholarship — because we said it.

Sometimes Satan is dragging your miracle. What did the angel do against the devil dragging the body of Moses? He said, the Lord rebuke you. They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the words of their testimony. What are the words of your testimony? When Satan is dragging your health, your marriage, everything — what do you say? You look at what the Bible says and you stay there until it comes to pass. Speak to the mountain. Don't change your confession.

Look at 1 Kings 18:43-44 — Elijah prayed and sent his servant seven times to check. The servant saw a small cloud and Elijah said: that's it! Tell the king to run. Sometimes you move with a glimpse, you move with the small cloud. Don't wait for the rain before you move.

The Law of Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is not a post-victory ritual. It's a pre-victory declaration. Look at that leper who came back to thank Jesus. Luke 17:17-19 — Jesus said, where are the nine? And then he told the one who returned: arise, go thy way, thy faith has made thee whole. Jesus called thanksgiving faith. It takes faith to praise God for what is not yet perfect.

Philippians 4:6 — be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving. That word careful means not to be worried. Worry is a habit. Some people enjoy being worried. Gratitude is a matter of focus. Everything you focus on will get bigger. It's like a magnifying glass — it doesn't make the thing bigger, it brings you closer to it.

Ingratitude is a habit. You cannot get me ungrateful because I know where my mates are. My mates are in the cemetery. My mates are in prison. My mates are laying in the hospital.

Note: the Bible did not say for everything give thanks. It said in everything give thanks. Are you following the point? I am not thankful for the calamity that happened. I am thankful in the calamity that happened. I am not okay with my loss, but I know that for my loss he will give me double. I am grateful in, not for.

Paul and Silas were beaten and thrown in prison. Satan came and saw them praising. Satan cannot survive an atmosphere of gratitude. He cannot survive an atmosphere of joy. He is a depressant — going about looking for how to make people depressed. With joy shall you draw water out of the well of salvation. Joy is the bucket. Joy will trigger the miraculous. Happy people get miracles faster.

I don't have all I want yet, but I am grateful for that which I have. I expected a thousand people and only a hundred came. Father, I thank you for that hundred. You brought them. I didn't bring them. You run Satan mad by maintaining a shield of joy and excitement even in the midst of crisis.

You cannot wall God's vision for you around your wallet. Psalms 44 says they did not get the land by their sword, but the hand of the Lord and his favor. The heart of the king is in the hand of God and like the parts of a river he will direct it to wherever approval you need. Spend favor. Leave your money aside.
