Why God Speaks About the Future
In a world filled with questions, God releases light. It takes scars, injuries, bruises, audacity, and a calling to be trusted with the privilege to champion a move. If he's saying something good will happen, enforce it. If he's saying something bad will happen, stop it.
The church is a school. There is the implication of missing lectures. Ephesians 4:14 — no prolonged infancies among us. Small children are easy marks for imposters. The enemy can infiltrate a circle through those who are immature.
More than ever before, those who don't have a pastor will be lost. Even pastors of ministries must be pastored. That's how not to get lost.
Prophecy Is Not for Information — It Is for Action
2 Timothy 3:1 — "But understand this: that in the last days, dangerous times of great stress and trouble will come."
When God speaks about events that are bound to happen, why is he saying it? Is it for information, or is it so that his people can do something about it?
John wept in Revelation 5 when no one was found worthy to open the scroll. He was not weeping because of information. He was weeping because without the information being opened and downloaded, the church could not do anything about it. An event was about to unfold that would meet the sons of men on their ways — and he didn't want it to catch them without the opportunity to respond.
But now we have believers that God shows things, yet they are still caught.
The positioning of the church around prophecy has historically been one of helplessness — "the Bible already foretold this, so there's nothing we can do." But that is not the posture God intended.
God told Abraham that his descendants would be in a strange land for 400 years. How many years did they actually spend? 430 years. It got elongated because there was no man to partner with the fulfillment of the prophecy in its rightful timing.
Good things can wait for right people to arise before they happen. Bad things will also wait for wrong people to arise — or for right people to be negligent.
As long as God has revealed something, he has given us the capacity to do something about it.
Discern Your Joseph
Jacob had sons from four different women. Among them was Joseph. Joseph was the child who, in Jacob's generation, was carrying the manifestation of the blessing of Abraham.
The manifestation of the blessing of Abraham was not on Jacob — it was on Joseph. So the prophecy of slavery in Egypt couldn't be fulfilled unless someone sent away the one carrying the manifestation.
And wherever you send the one carrying the blessing, that place receives the blessing. Egypt became the place of food not because of Egypt — because Joseph was there.
The prophecy said "a strange land" — it didn't specify Egypt. Anywhere Joseph was sent would have become Egypt. The land only matters because of the person.
In your generation, wherever you find yourself — among friends, in any environment — always discern the one who carries the manifest. Don't send away your Joseph.
If any lineage is going to be pronounced, it will be because they didn't send away their Joseph.
The Danger of Negligence in the Last Days
2 Timothy 3:1 — In the last days, dangerous times will come. How dangerous? As dangerous as God's children do nothing about it.
Demons work with time. In the story of the possessed man, the demon cried, "Have you come to torment us before the time?" They knew there was a time frame for their operation. They sought ways to function within certain jurisdictions. If demons can work with time and scheduling, why are God's children negligent of timing?
There is no negative prophecy that doesn't have a counter prophecy. The church must learn the spiritual intelligence around prophecy — not as passive observers but as active enforcers.
