Fear the Lord and Keep His Commandments
Solomon, examining life from a purely natural, philosophical standpoint, concluded that of making many books there is no end, and much study is a weariness to the flesh. Vanity of vanities, he called it all, before arriving at his final conclusion: fear the Lord and keep His commandments, for that is the whole duty of man. Doctrine builds conviction, but the principles of the kingdom are what produce actual victory. Without understanding the principles of the kingdom, your faith can be unshakable and you still won't be a winner in the spirit.
Fire Should Burn, But Not Under Every Condition
Nebuchadnezzar looked into the furnace and saw not three men but four, and said the form of the fourth was like the Son of God. Scripture takes care to describe the extent of their exemption in detail. Their hair was not even singed, and the fire had no power over them at all. Fire should burn, but not under every condition. Those who threw them in were themselves consumed, while the three men walked out unharmed. These were not parables. They actually happened.
Key: A Functional Knowledge of God
Many believers stop at awareness of what God has done and never press further into how to actually engage those provisions so they become present reality. Knowing that God heals is important, but it may not get you healed; you still need the dynamics of appropriating that truth for yourself. The first key to walking in dominion, liberty, and exemption is a functional, not merely theoretical, knowledge of the God who exempts. Daniel 11:32 speaks of a people who know their God being strong and doing exploits, not merely wishing for them or writing about them.
John 15 describes Jesus as the vine and His Father as the husbandman; a branch cut away from the vine withers and dries. Dominion for the believer is not self-generated. It is derived from the strength of an actual relationship with God, not from intelligence or technique alone. Zephaniah 3:17 describes the Lord in the midst of His people as mighty to save, rejoicing over them with singing. Psalm 62:11-12 speaks of God having spoken once, and power belonging to Him. Faith is not anchored on mechanics or principles alone. It's anchored on the revelation of who God actually is.
The Confidence of Knowing Who You Are
The knowledge of God does not make a person arrogant. It makes them confident. Once someone has a genuine revelation of their oneness with Christ, being called a failure or told they can't succeed no longer lands the way it used to, the same way a strict immigration system doesn't allow certain things to cross a border, regardless of how forcefully they try to enter.
Grace, Not Advantage, Explains the Difference
People sometimes assume ministry success comes from some special advantage, luck, or predetermined favoritism from God. Scripture says believers do not have a high priest untouched by the feelings of their weaknesses. Anyone genuinely used by God grew up facing ordinary challenges like everyone else; the real difference was never advantage. It was grace, consistently received and worked with over time.
