The Earth Is a Theater of Battles

John 10:10 — the Bible tells us the earth realm is a theater of battles. The attention of spirits is focused on the earth because the earth is the last civilization of God in the current dispensations.

Genesis 1:1 — in the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. The earth is the youngest civilization, and so there is a contention of spirits to colonize it.

When God created the earth, he gave the authority of the earth to man. Psalm 115:16 — the heavens, even the heavens of the heavens, belong to God. But the earth he has given to the sons of men. So spirits know that even though they want to colonize the earth, they cannot unless they use men. Men are the legal channels through which the earth can be accessed. Any spirit that wants to influence the earth must come through man.

So in John 10:10, the thief — the devil — is trying to access the earth with a civilization of his own. The manifesto of that civilization is to kill, to steal, and to destroy.

But the good news is that he was not the only one who came. Jesus said, "I am come that you might have life — life to the full."

Two things impress about that scripture. First: it doesn't matter that Satan came first. Coming first does not mean you will prevail. Whatever Satan does is nothing if Jesus shows up. Second: Satan had many channels — death, stealing, destruction. Jesus didn't need many activities. He came with one life, and that life is enough.

What God Originally Gave Man — and What Satan Stole

If you don't know what the creator had in mind, you may not make the most of what the blood has come to restore. The blood doesn't just deal with your immediate problem — it restores everything originally intended.

Imagine a prince kidnapped as a child and reduced to begging. His prayer might be, "Lord, give me daily bread." And when bread comes, he thinks his prayer is answered. But someone walks up and says, "Do you know who you are? Your father is a king. Everything in the palace belongs to you." He was looking for lunch — but he is actually the owner of an empire.

Someone came tonight looking for healing, but God will show you that you are his child. More than healing is what he will do for you.

From Genesis 1-3, God gave man five things at creation:

1. God's Image — His Nature

   Genesis 1:26 — "Let us make man in our image." The word image in Hebrew is sal and it means nature. God shared his glorious nature with man. God cannot be sick — not because he is exercising faith, but because the kind of nature God has doesn't support sickness. An angel cannot be sick. How much more God. When God created man, he put that nature in him. We were not meant to be sick. We were not meant to be defeated. When a man becomes sick, it's because something happened to his nature. Romans 3:23 — all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Man was supposed to live in glory where sickness does not exist.

2. God's Likeness — His Creative Power and Intelligence

   Genesis 1:26 — "In our likeness." The word likeness is deote — model. Man was created to reveal the excellency, the creativity, the intelligence of God. God tested this by creating all the animals, hiding their names, and telling the man to name them. The man was not confused. He named each one correctly. He was operating at the mental frequency of divinity, because he was created in God's likeness.

3. God's Authority — Dominion

   Genesis 1:28 — "Be fruitful, multiply, replenish, subdue, have dominion." The word dominion is authority — God's government. The man was the governor of the earth.

4. God's Presence — Fellowship

   In the cool of the day, the voice of God came walking in the garden. The garment the man wore was not a suit — the man wore the presence of God. He was naked but didn't know it, because the presence radiated out of him with such glory that it covered everything. Like a light bulb: when it is off, you see the tiny wire. When it is on, the rays cover the wire. The clothing of the wire is the light. God's presence was the clothing of man.

5. Access to God's Life — the Tree of Life

   Genesis 2:9 — God planted the tree of life in the middle of the garden. If man had eaten from it, he would have been functioning exactly like God. He was created like God, but he needed to completely function like God. The tree of life was meant to complete that cycle.

So man had God's nature, God's creative power, God's authority, God's presence — and was positioned to take God's life. When Satan saw this, he was troubled. This being would be exactly like God. That was what Satan coveted and could not have — Isaiah 14:12-14 records his rebellion.

Satan couldn't fight Adam directly. He had the nature of God — cancer would die on him, leprosy would die, bullets couldn't hurt him. The only way to destroy Adam was through the same thing that destroyed Satan: disobedience. Satan taught Adam to disobey God, and Adam fell. He lost the nature of God, the creative power, the authority, the presence — and the life, he never took.

When Adam lost the authority of God, by spiritual law, Satan took it — because whoever you yield yourself servant to obey, you have become the servant of that one. Satan began to afflict humanity: unending sin, unending sickness, unending death.

God is omniscient — nothing takes him unawares. He knew what Satan would do. But without the will, man becomes a robot. What makes you a person — what makes your worship real and your love genuine — is your will. If your will is removed, you cannot worship freely. God gave man a choice.

When man fell, because of God's love, he had a second plan. He created a gate inside the woman called the womb, so that when men would come after the first two, they would come through that gate. Satan didn't know God planned to use that gate himself.

Genesis 3:15 — God said to Satan, "The seed of the woman will crush you." Women don't have seed — men give seed. God was announcing that a child would come who had no human father. Prophets began to prophesy: Isaiah said a virgin would conceive and bear a son.

The Holy Ghost came upon Mary, the power of the Highest overshadowed her, and under cover of darkness for 30 years that child hid as a carpenter. Then one afternoon, John the Baptist saw him at the Jordan: "Behold the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world."

When he returned from the wilderness after 40 days of prayer and fasting, he went to the temple, opened the scroll, and said, "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me. He has anointed me to open blind eyes, to unseal deaf ears, to deliver captives, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord. Today this scripture is fulfilled." He walked out of the temple and everything Satan was doing — he challenged it, destroyed it, reversed it.

But Jesus was not planning to be the one to rule on earth permanently. He has his throne in heaven. The throne on earth is for men. What he did was show us how to live. We are not the ones to be sick — we are the ones to heal the sick. We are not the ones to be demonized — we are the ones to cast out devils. We are not the ones to live in sin — we are the ones to model righteousness.

After showing us how to live, it became necessary for him to remove the reproach of sin — the corruption that blocked us from manifesting the glory, the mind of God, and the authority. The only way was for his blood to be shed. Because in the blood is the full package of redemption.

Five Mysteries of the Blood

1. Life Is in Blood

   Leviticus 17:11 — the life of flesh is in blood. Drain blood from anyone and they die. Blood is not just a red liquid — blood is flowing life. Jesus shed his blood to give us the God-life — the life we never took from Eden.

2. Blood Has a Voice

   In the spirit, blood speaks. Genesis 4:10 — when Abel was killed, God said, "The blood of your brother is crying to me from the ground." What argues for you before God is not your mouth — it is the blood of Jesus. Hebrews 12:24 — the blood of Jesus is the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than the blood of Abel. The blood of Abel cried for revenge. The blood of Jesus says forgive.

3. Blood Is a Weapon

   Revelation 12:11 — they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb. In the spirit, we fight with blood. Without the blood, your walls are useless.

4. Blood Washes

   Blood can wash better than soap. When blood washes something clean, that thing is clean forever. Hebrews 9:22 — without shedding of blood there is no remission of sin. The blood of Jesus is a washer — it takes away sin.

5. Blood Has Rank

   Not every blood is the same. Even in the dark arts, practitioners look for blood of a certain quality — because rank in blood matters. But in the spirit, the most ranking blood is not the blood of bulls, not the blood of virgins. It is the blood of the Son of God — the highest-ranking blood in existence.
