Genesis 3:1-15 — the serpent's attack on the first family. The battle was lost. Revelation 12:1-9 — a woman, a dragon waiting to devour her child, and war in heaven. The battle was won.

The victory in Revelation was not because the woman was strong. Help was sent to her — angels dispatched, her child caught up to God's throne. Whoever this is for: victory over your family is not about your family's strength. Help is coming before this crisis passes.

Same Enemy, Escalating Aggression

Dragon, old serpent, Satan — the same creature named across both accounts. In Genesis, the approach was conversation, a temptation. In Revelation, it was open aggression — waiting to devour the child the moment it was born.

"Old serpent" — not today's enemy, an old one. The battle isn't only about the current generation; it's aimed at the next one. What's fought and won now determines what gets passed down or handed over.

Fighting for the Next Generation

If a battle is lost in one generation, it defaults to the next unless it's fought back. Prayer life, restoration, freedom from destructive patterns — none of it transfers automatically; it has to be contended for so the next generation doesn't inherit what was never resolved.

Don't Feed Destruction to Your Family

In the first battle, Adam was present. In the second, the man had disappeared — traceable back to what Eve had fed him. Watch what you feed the people closest to you: careless words, destructive confessions, mockery dressed as honesty.

God Shows Up Mid-Battle

In Genesis, God appeared after the battle was already lost. In Revelation, God showed up while the battle was still raging. Whatever is currently in progress does not have to finish the way it's currently heading.
