God knows what to do

John 6:5-6

When Jesus lifted up his eyes and saw a great company come unto him, he said unto Philip, "When shall we buy bread that these may eat?" This he asked to prove him, for he himself knew what he would do.

For someone to talk about buying, it means the resources are available. God does not have a money problem, he has a spending problem.

When God sees you as a genuine follower, God commits resources to you to empower your followership. Resources are not for the worship of mammon, materialism, or arrogance — every resource is to empower your followership, your service, and the actualization of your vision.

Battles can puncture your intimacy

Acts 2:4 — they were filled with the Holy Ghost.

Acts 4:29-31 — Lord, grant thy servant boldness, and when they had prayed, the place was shaken and they were filled with the Holy Ghost again.

Between Acts 2 and Acts 4, by reason of threats and battle, their spiritual level had gone down, so they prayed until they were filled again. The battles of life can depreciate your fire and your fervency. Whatever you don't address in the spirit extends to the next generation.

Matthew 21:2

Loose the ass tied, and the colt with her — the mother and the child were both tied. If the parent does nothing, the child inherits the bondage.

1 Kings 19:4

Elijah said, "God, take my life, I am not better than my fathers." His fathers had died prematurely — the spirit of suicide was heavy on him.

Genesis 22:10-11

As Abraham raised the knife over Isaac, a voice spoke and stopped him.

3 things when you are boxed into a corner

1. Solution is around

   John 6:8-9,13

   A young lad had five loaves and two fishes, and when they were done feeding, twelve baskets remained.

   Your solution is not far from you. May God open your eyes to see it. You must be little in your own eyes to give — a child does not think or plan for tomorrow, and God says you must have the heart of a child.

2. You must listen to counsel

   It was Philip who told Jesus there was a lad with loaves. Never grow to a point where nobody can talk to you.

   Solomon met God at Gibeon and was offered wisdom, riches, and wealth — yet as soon as the Lord departed, Solomon gathered himself counselors. The proof that you have had God is that you can hear men.

   Any deliberate intention to avoid instruction is to set up yourself for destruction. In multitude of counselors there is safety — situation is magnified when you focus only on the temporary instead of weighing your problem with God.

3. Provision will come around

   Philippians 4:19 (referenced) — my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

   Matthew 6:31-33

   Take no thought saying what shall we eat, what shall we drink, what shall we wear — seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and every other thing shall be added.

   There is greatness in littleness. The little supply of today is proof of the abundance of provision for tomorrow. Don't complain because it's little — give thanks in the little, and don't walk by sight but by faith. Your account may be low, but that does not mean you are stranded — there is a heavenly treasure to draw from.

   Great men are the product of two things: encounter for spiritual men, experience for natural men. Learn to thank God for the little he has given, because it is building your testimony.

Personal ministry

The service continued with individual prophetic ministration and words of encouragement over members of the congregation, including callings to ministry and leadership, health, family situations, and pending testimonies.
