The Corporate Anointing

As important as personal prayer and fasting are, staying close to someone who carries a grace lets you touch that grace regularly. There is a real blessedness to the corporate anointing that spreads when believers fellowship together, that is why churches join hands and say "let's share the grace."

If you are not active in church, even attending as a member, showing up only once in a while, that has to change. Don't let heaven observe that you only show up when you need something. Many of the struggles in your walk with God will disappear if you simply show up regularly.

A Royal Priesthood

But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood... 1 Peter 2:9

That statement was oxymoronic under Old Testament law. To be king you had to belong to the tribe of Judah, to be a priest you had to belong to the tribe of Levi, the two offices could never be merged.

King Uzziah, though he ruled well for 50 years, went into the temple in pride to burn incense like a priest, and leprosy broke out on his forehead on the spot. Saul offered a sacrifice himself rather than wait for Samuel the priest, and Samuel told him his kingdom would not continue because of that one act. 1 Samuel 13:13-14

Under Christ, if you stood where Uzziah stood, nothing would happen to you. Every believer is now called a royal priesthood, a statement of access that was never possible before.

The Branch Who Would Be Both

Thus says the Lord of hosts, behold the man whose name is the Branch. He shall build the temple of the Lord, he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule on his throne, he shall be a priest on his throne. Zechariah 6:12-13

Pilate asked Jesus plainly, "Are you a king?" Jesus answered, "You rightly say that I am a king." John 18:37

I will set up your seed after you, and I will establish his kingdom forever. 2 Samuel 7:12-13

He will be great, and the Lord will give him the throne of his father David. Luke 1:32-33

The Order Of Melchizedek

There was a pattern in the Old Testament, Melchizedek, a man who was both king and priest. Because Abraham, ancestor of the Levites, paid tithes to Melchizedek, and the lesser is blessed of the greater, the Melchizedek priesthood outranks the Levitical priesthood. David prophesied of it: the Lord has sworn, you are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek. Psalm 110:4

As king, Christ has authority to save. As priest, he has access to God on our behalf.

To him who loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood, and made us kings and priests. Revelation 1:5-6

They sang, "You are worthy... for you were slain and have redeemed us to God by your blood... and have made us kings and priests to our God, and we shall reign on the earth." Revelation 5:9-10

What A Priest Does

To be a priest is simply to represent man before God, and God before man, man before God in intercession, God before man in ministry.

When God divided the promised land, he gave no land to the Levites, because he himself was to be their portion. In the same way, a priest today may have a job or a business, but the priority must still be the priority of a priest.

Get Involved, Don't Serve In Secret

There is no secret service in the Lord's army. Jesus asked Peter three times, "Lovest thou me?" and each time followed it with, "Feed my sheep." Love for Jesus must be proven in ministry, in playing your part, whether teaching, singing, ushering, or simply sharing the word.

Affliction shall not rise a second time. We separate you from every negative pattern in your family. All things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to his purpose.
