1 Kings 18:44-45

At the seventh time Elijah's servant said, "Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man's hand." Elijah said, "Prepare thy chariot and get thee down, that the rain stop thee not." The heaven became black with clouds, and there was a great rain.

The Triggers of Outpouring

Every outpouring is triggered, provoked, facilitated, initiated. Outpouring is a surge, a gushing out, an outburst. Good happens by choice, bad happens by chance. Growing yam or maize takes effort; growing grass takes none. To cause a revolution you must be intentional.

An open heaven is what triggers an earth happening. Leviticus 16:19, Deuteronomy 20:23. When heaven is sealed, the earth is sealed.

Benefits of outpouring

• To live under overwhelming, visible, tangible divine backing
• To assess acceptance without resistance Matthew 3:17
• A catalyst for an unending life of exploit, the way one molecule of hydrogen and two of oxygen still need a catalyst to become water
• The droplet from heaven that unleashes a pre-eternity experience, heaven on earth Deuteronomy 11:21
• A life where natural laws are suspended, the way Israel's clothes and sandals did not wear out in 40 years in the wilderness Deuteronomy 29:5

God has given every believer everything that pertains to life and godliness, but it is their duty to take it. Revelation is a sudden realization of what is already yours that has not been taken. Angels grieve over a blessing that belongs to someone who has not taken it, the way an ignorant passenger misses everything free to him in business class.

1. Passion for prayer

True spiritual passion may weaken but it never dies. Passion is fed by understanding of the word.

• The word of God is pure and unadulterated Proverbs 30:5, 2 Corinthians 2:17, 1 Peter 1:23, Psalm 138:2
• The word of God abides forever, nothing shakes it Isaiah 40:8
• The word of God is a seed, and what people continually hear over time is what they finally become Luke 8:9-11
• The proof of prayer passion is tirelessness in the place of prayer James 5:17
• Nothing feeds prayer passion like a brutal, judgmental mindset toward evil. God's justice system is not emotional. When judgment against evil is delayed, the heart of men becomes fully set to do evil Ecclesiastes 8:11

2. Walking in unity

There is a dimension of God's power that will never hit a disunited church. Disunity stalls manifestations. The 7,000 prophets of Baal never countered Elijah's prophetic word, they understood the law of unity Psalm 133:1, Ephesians 4:13. Every answer to prayer is connected to an atmosphere of peace. Before you take an offense to the church, go to your brother alone, then with witnesses Matthew 18:15-18. Confess your faults one to another and pray for one another, that you may be healed James 5:16. Praying while holding unforgiveness against a brother or a pastor is a vocal waste, an emotional exhaustion of futility.

3. Value

"If the Lord be God, follow him" 1 Kings 18:21. Value means dependence on God, hunger for God, prioritizing God above all.

• Kingdom profitability: Hannah did not receive Samuel until she promoted the profit of the house of God. Look for what the house of God lacks and meet the need yourself rather than waiting for someone else to.
• Longevity: those who conquer love for money and see it as a servant have their longevity promoted.
• Availability: when the sons of God presented themselves, even Satan was there, but Job stayed home. David praised God seven times a day though he was king, shepherd, priest and choir leader Psalm 119:164. Nobody truly lacks time, people create time.

Prayer for Hunger for the Word

As the crowd pressed on Jesus to hear the word, Peter's boat filled to breaking point Luke 5:1. Pressure for the word brings pleasure in this world. Jeremiah 15:16: "Thy words were found, and I did eat them, and they became a rejoicing to my soul."

An altar call followed for those carrying unresolved hurt and unforgiveness, to lay it at the feet of Jesus, followed by ministration, prophetic declarations and prayer for the new month.
