Apostle Johnson Suleman Preaching - Unpossessed Possession Part 2
Sermon

lightbulb Message Summary - Key Nuggets

  • Some believers carry real gifting but lack the capacity to keep what arrives.
  • Evidence is the visible proof of prophecy; people can argue an experience, not evidence.
  • Depression shouldn't be treated as a normal condition; joy is meant to increase, not flatten.
  • A mantle of restoration means what was stolen doesn't need the same door to return.

Joshua 19:1-24

Continuing the study begun that morning: after Israel's wilderness journey ended, a census in the promised land showed several tribes still without inherited territory. Two had already been addressed, Benjamin, representing uncommon support, and Simeon, representing being heard and announced. A believer can be genuinely saved, gifted, and full of real prophecy, and still be carrying restrictions that have nothing to do with the authenticity of their salvation. Ephesians 3:20 ties what is possible in a life directly to the proportion of power actually at work within it; possibility with God is not automatic, it is proportional to alignment and responsibility carried on the human side.

Unpossessed Possession Number Three: The Capacity to Keep

Judges 1:5-7

Adoni-Bezek, who had subdued seventy kings by cutting off their thumbs and toes, was finally caught and mutilated the same way. Cutting off the thumb removes the ability to hold anything firmly; whatever comes near simply slips through. This is the picture behind Zebulun, a tribe that had passed through the same wilderness and reached the same promised land, yet still had no capacity to retain anything good, a job, a relationship, an answered prayer, once it arrived. Some people are not lacking blessing, they are lacking the grip to keep what blessing brings. Ask specifically that whatever God has promised or already given would not slip away once it arrives.

Unpossessed Possession Number Four: Evidence

Evidence is the proof of prophecy, the tangible fruit of a word that was genuinely spoken over a life. People can argue with an experience or a certificate, but they cannot argue with visible evidence. Elijah asked the widow at Zarephath what she had in her house before her lack turned into lasting provision for her whole household. Success gathers relatives; failure is often an orphan. Those who are only present during visible evidence of blessing were never really present during the difficulty, and recognizing that clearly is simply the reality of life, not a reason for bitterness. What matters more is remembering who actually stood through the seasons before the evidence arrived.

Unpossessed Possession Number Five: Joy

Philippians 4:4

Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say, rejoice. Some people are saved, born again, and still living a life with no real event or effect, going through the motions on hope alone with nothing to genuinely celebrate. Depression and prolonged sadness were never meant to be treated as a normal, permanent condition of life; the path of the righteous is meant to shine brighter and brighter, moving from one measure of joy into a fuller one, not settle into flatness. Job 8:7 promises that though a beginning was small, the latter end should increase greatly. Real intelligence in prayer matters here too, when a struggle has been prayed over persistently and still appears unmoved, the next step is not more repetition but asking God directly for understanding of what is actually happening and how to move through it.

A Personal Testimony of Restoration

During a nineteen-day fast, in a moment of real physical crisis, a specific mantle was received: an apostolic mantle of restoration, so that anything stolen from a person's life, upon genuine contact with that mantle, would be returned. What no ordinary means could access, what no closed door would open, has since come open like a sudden dream rather than a slow grind. Whatever has been stolen, delayed, or withheld does not require the same door it was lost through, it only requires the mantle of restoration to make contact with it.

Inspiring Quote

Sermon

"One symptom of backsliding is that you begin to look down on the simple things that keep you on fire, calling a devotional 'just milk.' It's not about the information, it's about the consistency."
