Wisdom is the application of knowledge.

Matthew 7:24-27 — Therefore, whoever hears these sayings of mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who builds his house on the rock. And the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house, and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. But everyone who hears these sayings of mine and does not do them will be like the foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, and great was its fall.

What founded it on the rock? It was hearing and doing. Not just hearing.

Listening to 60 messages will not make you wise. Reading 400 books does not make you wise. Wisdom is not reading. Wisdom is doing what you have read. Having the gift of the word of wisdom does not make you wise. You can operate the gift and still lack wisdom in your own life. Wisdom is not the prophetic journal. Wisdom is not your mentor or your father in the faith. Wisdom is not inheritance.

So wisdom is application. Application is the doing that makes you wise, not the knowing.

What makes one foolish and one wise is the one who heard and did, or the one who heard and did not do. Wisdom is not the hearing, is not the knowing, is not the reading, is not the exposure. Wisdom is doing. You are foolish until you are doing.

The Timeline for Wisdom

The timeline for wisdom is important. Have sense early. Don't wait. Everybody will eventually get a revelation, but when you now have sense, you can be so weakened by how much time you have lost that you cannot even apply again. No strength. Where do I start from? Now I know what to do, but see my age. Do you know how many people now know that they have been wrong all their lives, but cannot pick themselves up to act on what they now know? Because the issue now is no time or no strength. All those who would have helped when the knowledge finally comes — foolishness has driven them away.

That is where we need the mercy of God.

Foolishness Is Not Ignorance

Foolishness is not really ignorance. It's not about ignorance. If you didn't know, you didn't know. Foolishness is that you knew, but you did not do.

It's not like you didn't understand the threat. It's not like you didn't know how terrible this would be for your health. It's not like you were not aware this would destroy your relationship. But you were aware and still didn't take action.

That is a fool. And that's why the end of a fool is death. It's conscious disobedience. It has to be flirting with death.

The fact that you are wise does not mean difficult things will not happen. It happens to the fool and it happens to the wise. When war hits a nation, it touches both the wise and the foolish. But there are nations like Switzerland — 70 to 80 percent of their homes have bunkers. The whole nation is built prepared for anything. That is wisdom applied at the national level.

If we knew a problem was coming, and those who did not know the problem was coming experience it the same way as us, you cannot even call those who didn't know foolish. The responsibility falls on those who knew. That is the weight of wisdom.

Knowledge without action is not wisdom. You've watched all the videos online. You've been exposed to all kinds of information. Until you do it, you are a fool.

Wisdom is not knowing the right thing. Wisdom is doing the right thing.
