The Knowledge Gap Is a Secret

The knowledge gap between the rich and the poor is not just wide — it is a secret. And somehow, it plays better in the market for those with wealth that you assume you know more.

They don't just like it. That is their business. Their business is the ignorance of the poor.

An average fund management company does not want you to take your money out of them. It means one thing: they know you so well. Money is not productive in your hand.

The mentality of an average investor is: I'm sitting here and money will multiply. That is the illusion.

Because investment's goal is not to make money. Investment is the closest thing to charity. You invest because you want to finance an idea you believe in — not first to make yourself a million.

Buying Land — The Broken Mindset

The whole idea of buying one plot and selling it back — you never finish it. That is an egg-beard, not investing. You are buying one plot because you are broke.

Even if that plot appreciates and you sell it in 10 years for profit — if you have not cured your brokenness, you sell it as fast as you eat it and you are still broke.

A Buy Side Cannot Take Advice from a Sell Side

A broker cannot give you reliable investment advice. Already because they have a commission at stake, you cannot trust their judgment. They have a product to sell.

Your average broker is broke. How do you want a broke broker to tell you how to make wealth?

They know that a person without much capital is mentally bankrupt. They can easily manipulate you because you don't know what to do with 100K to make it 1 million. Money is not productive in the hands of the unprepared.

When Information Goes Public, You Are Already Late

The moment information about an investment becomes public — you are late.

A land — once it is in the news, you are late. Dangote bought it in 2013; the deal started from 2008. An average person starts jumping on it after the announcement — already late.

There are people called quants — mathematicians who live in the market, developing models and coding for it. Jim Simons charged the highest fees in the industry and delivered the highest returns — because it was purely mathematics, and he hired the most elite mathematical minds in the world.

You thinking your intuition gives you an edge over that is the very illusion that keeps the poor poor.

What You Can Trade to Gain Access

Most people cannot afford capital. But there are certain things you can trade to get into certain circles. If you understand office politics — who to make happy, how to grow — the same applies in business. You know the customers to go the extra mile for, to send packages to, even as a small business.

There is a way someone pursues you that even you start taking the person seriously. But because the average person says: ah, his pride is too much — they miss the door that person was holding open for them.

The Poor and Wealthy Live in Different Worlds

The poor and the wealthy are living in two separate worlds. They may share the same planet — but two different worlds.
