Dominion Through the Mysteries of the Kingdom

Dominion in this kingdom is predicated upon understanding the mysteries of the kingdom and the ability to engage them. The glory of God always follows compliance to his patterns.

Leviticus 9:6 — "This is what the Lord commanded Moses that you should do. And when you do it, the glory of the Lord shall appear unto you."

There is what you must do. There is what you must know. There is how you engage — and then the glory of the Lord shall appear unto you.

Victory Across Seven Areas

When Jesus died, he did not just save us from sin. He gave us victory across seven areas. These seven areas represent the administrative system of darkness — every kind of manifestation of darkness happens along these lines.

  1. Victory over sin
  2. Victory over Satan
  3. Victory over hell — hell is not just a location, it is a spirit
  4. Victory over death — 1 Corinthians 15:55
  5. Victory over the grave
  6. Victory over the flesh
  7. Victory over the world — the thinking pattern that comes with this age

Victory in Christ is not complete until there is a reflection of victory in every one of these areas. Being free from sin does not necessarily mean total victory. One can be free from sin and still be a victim of the flesh — a victim of the thinking pattern that comes with the cosmos.

The Administration of Victory Is Not the Same Across All Seven Areas

It is the same sacrifice that brought victory, but the administration of victory across these seven areas is not the same.

  • Sin — the cure is to receive the life of God by confessing his lordship. The sin problem is done with.
  • Evil spirits — cast away with a single command. With a single command, an evil spirit leaves a man.
  • The flesh — you do not cast away the flesh. You die daily. The impulses of the flesh cannot be cast away by a pronouncement. It takes transformation.

The Mysteries of the Kingdom That Bring Victory

There are many mysteries in the kingdom that work in synergy to bring victory to the believer.

  • Prayer — one of the mysteries of dominion
  • The confession and declaration of the word
  • Unity
  • Favor
  • Praise
  • Worship

These mysteries work together to cause the believer to manifest dominion. Without a thorough understanding of the mysteries of the kingdom, victory that is finished in Christ may never be manifested in a believer's life.

What Warfare Actually Means

Warfare, generally speaking, is part of the requirements for establishing victory in a believer's life. Upon Mount Zion there shall be deliverance, then holiness, then possession.

Deliverance for a believer is not about physically fighting to verify whether one will win or not. That mentality is already defeat.

Warfare for the believer is about establishing practically, using the mysteries of the kingdom, the victory that has been wrought in Christ.

The approach is from a standpoint of victory — not fighting the devil, but taking the realities of the kingdom as finished in Christ and using the resources made available to establish that victory here and now.

Psalms 119:89 — "Forever, O Lord, thy word is settled" — not in your life, but in heaven. It takes faith and the operation of these mysteries to make it good here and now.

The same blood that purchased salvation is the same blood that purchased healing and deliverance. The fact that a believer can still be sick tells us there is a need for establishing the victory of Christ here and now.

When praise, prayer, and prophecy are engaged, the purpose is not to fight the devil and check whether victory is secured today or tomorrow. The Bible uses the term "fight," but the idea is rather about establishing — using the power of the will — that which has been finished in Christ.

If the idea of warfare is to fight the devil and check if you win, that revelation places one in a perpetual state of defeat. There will never be true victory. That is why believers who approach warfare that way perpetually live day to day, checking whether they will win. There is no checking. We are victorious.

The Armor of God and the Nature of Warfare

Ephesians 6:11-12 — "Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles, the deceptions, the strategies of the devil. For we wrestle…"

The word "wrestle" here is not an accurate translation in the physical sense. Wrestling as a match means even the winner goes back bleeding with pain. That is not the idea. The idea of wrestle is rather of a contention — a contention to establish the word in your life, not necessarily physically fighting spirits.

God has said you are healed, but Satan will come testing your health. That is the wrestle. The believer's part is to stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ has made them free — by engaging the mysteries of the kingdom so that what is finished in Christ is made good in daily life.

2 Corinthians 10:4 — "For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but they are mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down every imagination and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of Christ, and bringing to captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ."

Galatians 5:16-17 — "Walk in the spirit and ye shall not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. For the flesh wars against the spirit and the spirit against the flesh, and these are contrary the one to the other."

James 4:7 — "Submit yourselves therefore to God… resist the devil."

There is warfare against thoughts. There is warfare against spirits. There is a dimension of warfare that has nothing to do with spirits — it is the displacement of antichrist ideas, ideas inconsistent with the word of God. That warfare happens through worship and the transformative power of the word.

Submitting to the transforming power of the word is warfare. Every time the word of God is received, ideas that are not of God are displaced. There is an editing happening in the spirit man.

1 Peter 5:8 — "Be sober, be vigilant, for your adversary the devil, like a roaring lion, roams about seeking whom he may devour."

The Tripartite Combination: Prophecy, Prayer, and Worship

In Scripture, deliverance and warfare consistently happen through the tripartite combination of prophecy, prayer, and worship.

Case Study: Jehoshaphat

— 2 Chronicles 20:1-30

When a great multitude came against Jehoshaphat, he feared, and set himself to seek the Lord. He proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. All the cities came to seek God.

Jehoshaphat stood before the congregation and prayed — crying for victory through the mystery of prayer. Then he consulted with the people and appointed singers unto the Lord, that they should praise the beauty of his holiness.

The key to routing victory is to focus on God, not the problem. The more people focused on their sicknesses, they seldom got healed. But every time they took their minds away from the situation and fixed their eyes on Jesus in worship, healings would break out without people even realizing it.

As they began to sing and praise the Lord, the Lord set ambushment against the camps of the enemy. The enemies began to slay one another. By the time it was over — prayer, prophecy, worship — the realm of Jehoshaphat was quiet. God gave them rest round about.

Case Study: Paul and Silas in Prison

— Acts 16:25-26

Paul and Silas were in prison, hands and feet clamped in bands. In spite of that position, they took their eyes away from it. They prayed and they sang praises unto God — loud enough that the prisoners heard them.

Suddenly there was a great earthquake so that the foundations of the prison were shaken, and immediately all doors were opened and all the bands were loose.

It was one thing for the door to open. But even with an open door, if the individual was still bound, they could not go out. Lazarus came out, but Jesus said, "Loose him and let him go." The woman bent for eighteen years was not locked in a room, but she was bound. Luke 13:16

Eventually, the jailer and his family got saved as a result.

When prayer, prophecy, and heartfelt worship are combined with understanding, it produces power in the spirit and brings great victory.

Psalms 18:3 — "I will call upon the Lord who is worthy of praise. So shall I be saved from my enemies."

Two Experiences the Glory Brings

Every time the glory of God is revealed in the midst of his people, it brings two experiences:

  1. Encounters — supply spirit resources: wisdom, grace, anointing, power. These are the resources with which one goes and does business to dominate in the world.
  2. Interventions — solve problems immediately: breakthrough, healing, deliverance. These are manifestations of God's hand.

People sometimes open their hearts for interventions alone and do not know that the same spirit also brings encounters. One should not only be free — one should be more anointed in worship. Wiser.

There are eight tokens — called the riches of his glory — that come when the glory rests upon a life: wisdom, understanding, skill, utterance, favor, and others. These are the riches that come with the glory.

Warfare Invokes the Weightiness of God's Presence

Warfare invokes the weightiness of God's presence. When one worships in warfare, there is no battle left to fight — because what fights the battle is not just God's power, but the weight of his presence.

Ephesians 1:23 — He is the fullness that fills all and all. When he comes in, he comes with a message: no more space. No more space for anything that is not him.

It is the weightiness of his presence that drives everything out.

  • I cannot share space with sickness.
  • I cannot share space with curses.
  • Once he is magnified, his resting upon a life drives away everything that is not him — and the sickness is no longer there.

Psalms 114:4-6 — "The mountains skipped like lambs." An inanimate thing suddenly begins to run. When a lion pursues rams and lambs, they run with such tenacity as though their life depends on it. That is how challenges respond when his presence comes.

There is no power to push the mountain. But let everything that has breath — every challenge that has a name and can hear — when the weightiness of God's presence comes, it will be pushed away.

The Two Dimensions of Prophecy

  1. The revelatory dimension — God comforts, reveals things about one's life, destiny, and happenings to come. This builds faith and gives direction and conviction.
  2. The creative dimension — the prophetic grace, in partnership with the word of God, schedules possibilities in people's lives. Possibilities that had no business happening.

When a prophet declares, "By this time tomorrow," he was not giving a privy information of something that would have happened anyway. He was scheduling an event that had no business happening.

The creative dimension of prophecy makes to happen in your life what has no business happening.

When a prophetic word goes forth, the spirit of wisdom — the dimension of the Holy Spirit responsible for manifesting prophetic words — begins to scout around the territory. It begins handpicking the human actors who will work in partnership with that word to make it manifest.

  • If a declaration goes forth that favor shall rest on a life, the spirit of wisdom draws the men who have capacity to help.
  • Because the Holy Spirit will not violate human will, he can put a name in someone's heart and if that person says no, he leaves and goes to another.
  • The assignment of the spirit of wisdom is to insist that there is at least one person who will walk in partnership with him.

It was prophesied that Jesus would come, but the name of the virgin was not mentioned — only that "a virgin shall conceive." The Holy Ghost then began looking for the right vessel. When he found Mary, he said, "You are highly favored" — and then asked whether she agreed. She said, "Be it unto me." If she had rejected, the spirit of God would have left and gone to another virgin.

In receiving prophecy, it is dangerous to tie one's mindset to a specific individual — to expect the blessing only through a particular person. That frustrates the ministry of the Holy Spirit. The blessing can be heard in one city and come from another. The Holy Ghost can reach that far.

Abraham's wealth came from Egypt and Abimelech — not a place Abraham would have chosen. But the blessing came from there, and the Lord who went with him also prospered there.

Prayer points and Prophetic Declarations

  1. Father, in the name of Jesus — every battle bringing shame, mockery and reproach, tonight, let it come to an end. Longstanding battles, come to an end. Where there has been no help, let grace rest. Let help begin to locate you, locate your children, locate you in your place of work, in the name of Jesus.

  2. Every veil, every covering that has covered you so that those assigned to help do not recognize you as the one they were sent to — let that veil be torn right now, in the name of Jesus.

In this season, your life will be a wonder to you — a wonder to all who know you. Your ministry will be a wonder to you — a wonder to all who know you. In the name of Jesus, your season of struggling comes to an end.

Anyone ordained to see your face, to hold your hand and lift you higher — I gravitate them to your life.

It is one thing to be gifted. It is another thing for your gift to be anointed. From the depth of my spirit, let the anointing rest on your gift and announce you to your world. Let it rest on your head and announce you to your world.

For shame, receive double. Where you have been despised, men will look for you.

When God wants to announce a man, one of the ways he does it is to shut every other door that can do what that man can do — so that he insists those who need you find you. Pharaoh had wise men, sorcerers, and necromancers — but when it was Joseph's time to be announced, the realm of the spirit was shut against the eyes of those men. When it was time for God to announce Elijah, the prophets of Baal could not call down fire — the heavens were shut. Whatever needs to distinguish you before men in this season — may the hand of God distinguish you in a way that is incontestable, in the name of Jesus.

Any door you have been knocking — financial doors, doors of men — that refused to open: that door opens now, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Everything working in your life like a generational limitation — whatever you saw with your father, with your mother, or whatever came with your lineage — the connection between you and ancestry, let it be broken now. I release you to fly like the eagle. I release you to fly like a champion in the name of Jesus.

Everything that has silenced your voice — may your tongue be loosed. May the nations hear your voice.

If it will destroy you, you will not get there. If it will cause you pain, you will not get there. If it will lift you up, God will take you there in a hurry. In the name of Jesus Christ, let it be good news from Sunday to Sunday. Let it be blessings from Sunday to Sunday. Let it be favor from Sunday to Sunday.

By the power of the Holy Spirit, may you enjoy greater dimensions of God's mercy, greater dimensions of God's favor. I place a mark upon your head and I call that mark: touch not. Satan has no power over your life. In the name of Jesus Christ, I call you a bearer of God's glory.

Inspiring Quote

Sermon

"One symptom of backsliding is that you begin to look down on the simple things that keep you on fire, calling a devotional 'just milk.' It's not about the information, it's about the consistency."
