Get Serious With God
Let me say this before we begin this exhortation. Please get serious with God. Don't ever act as if God needs you. God does not need you and me for anything — we need Him for everything. You don't have answers to God's issues; if He had issues, He has the answer to your issues, because you always have issues.
God does not need you for anything. You need Him for everything.
A day will never come when God will need your help, but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.
I was on a site today and saw a four-hundred-ton crane. Nobody can tow it. Now compare the Almighty God to yourself and stop acting as if God needs you. If you are unsaved today, He is still I AM THAT I AM. If you become an armed robber or a kidnapper today, He is still I AM THAT I AM. He is the one who can change your story — your actions cannot change God.
Watch — the events of this year shall roll in like a dream of the night.
There is no future for the unserious. Get serious with God.

What We See
Luke 10:23-24 — Blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear. Many prophets desired to see what we see but did not see it, and to hear what we hear but did not hear it. What we see sets the pace for our steps forward in life.
Jeremiah 1:12 — Thou hast well seen, for I will hasten my word to perform it. With bright headlamps on a vehicle you gain better speed than with dim light — the brighter you see, the swifter the journey of life becomes.
John 12:35 — Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you, for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not where he goes. Life has its lifespan; after every daybreak comes nightfall. Don't let nightfall come upon the light you have, for prompt response is vital to every encounter with light.
- Prompt response releases the promise. At the pool of Bethesda, whosoever stepped in first when the water was stirred was made whole. One man waited thirty-eight years because he lacked prompt response.
- Abraham's faith was a faith of prompt response. He rose early in the morning to obey. Romans 4:12 speaks of those who walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham — the faith of prompt response.
What We Hear

What we hear stirs the faith required to accomplish the race set before us. No vision is delivered without faith, and faith comes by hearing — hearing the voice of God behind the word. Isaiah 30:20-21 says though the Lord give you the bread of adversity, your eyes shall see your teachers, and your ears shall hear a word behind them saying, "This is the way, walk in it." It is not enough to hear the teacher — hunt for the voice of God behind the word.
In 1984, going through Deuteronomy 28:1, the Lord said, "My son, there's a place for you out there if you're interested — whatever I tell you to do, do it." No struggle, no sweat.
Hebrews 12:1 — Let us run with patience the race set before us, looking unto Jesus. Jesus said in John 5:30, "As I hear, I judge." He was a hearing Master, operating by what He heard. What you hear stirs faith on the inside, because His voice is mightier than the voice of many waters — doubt dies when you hear from God.
Prayer and fasting will destroy the gates of hell resisting the advancement of the church. The gate of hell is Satan himself, the god of this world who has blinded the minds of them that believe not — but prayer and fasting blast him off our path.
- Travailing prayer is symbolic of prayer and fasting — before Zion travailed, she gave birth to her children.
- 2 Timothy 3:15 — the holy scriptures make us wise unto salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
- "Come and see" is God's wisdom for church growth: the Samaritan woman (John 4:29-30, 39-41), the healed leper (Mark 1:40-42, 45), and the man delivered of a legion of demons (Mark 5:18-20) all became "come and see" agents.
- Wisdom from above never lacks an audience — Acts 13:44 records that almost the whole city came together to hear the word of God.

Altar Call
Lord Jesus, save my soul. I repent of my sins today and accept You as my Lord and Savior. I believe You died for me, and on the third day You rose again to set me free from the power of sin and Satan. Tonight I accept You as my Lord and my Savior. I thank You for saving my soul and for restoring me back to the faith. By Your grace I shall serve You all the days of my life, and by Your grace I shall make heaven at the end of my journey.
Grace to live your life — receive it. Grace to make it to the end and make heaven at the end — receive it, in Jesus' precious name.
Communion
Jesus is the wisdom and the power of God. Through wisdom is a house built, and by understanding it is established, and by knowledge shall its chambers be filled with all manner of precious and pleasant riches. To live like Jesus is to live a life of triumph — a life of purity and integrity.
- Jesus, connect me to the wisdom of Christ through this communion table tonight.
- Empower me to live exactly like You in every area of my life.
- The yoke of oppression is destroyed in your life.
- The seed of sickness and disease, terminal or otherwise, is cursed from the roots in your life.
- Every siege of nightmares in your life has come to an end.
- The last defeat you saw is the last you shall ever see — it is your night of freedom and liberty, your night of scaling new heights.
Nothing delivers without faith, so put your faith on the line to partake of the communion, and watch for the manifestation of all that has been declared.
