Apostle Johnson Suleman Preaching - Confront to Conquer Part 2
Sermon

lightbulb Message Summary - Key Nuggets

  • Honor is not worship of men but identifying with what they carry for your own lifting.
  • There is a place in God called rest where the supply is available and looking for need.
  • The voice of God empowers motion, ascension, and silences accusation.
  • Accusing voices in the bloodline, not just personal sin, are often the root of prolonged captivity.

There Is a Place Called Rest

In continuing from 2 Kings 4:1-7, the keys to conquer continue.

Matthew 11:28-29 reveals something remarkable. Verse 28 says, I will give you rest. Verse 29 says, You shall find rest. Why find what has already been given? Because a rest is given and a rest is found. Whatever is given must be found. God says, I have given you rest, but for it to be a physical reality, a physical manifestation, take my yoke and learn of me.

For you to gravitate into rest, you start from survival. Some people live a life of survival: scavenging and struggling before any need is met. From there you move to just enough, where provision meets the need instantly. But the third dimension is where the supply is available looking for need. That is the land flowing with milk and honey. You will find yourself there as you confront and conquer.

Key Three: Honor System

When God wants to elevate a life, he organizes a system where honor will be demonstrated for the uplifting of the recipient.

In Matthew 8:9 the centurion said, I am a man under authority. I say to one go and he goes. He was not describing being under authority. He was describing how being under authority gives you authority. He was saying to Jesus: You are under God, so you can tell spirits what to do. He was standing under a covering.

Acts 19 shows the sons of Sceva trying to cast out a devil. The demon said, Paul I know. Jesus I know. Who are you? Even the demons recognized those who were under authority. But Paul's handkerchiefs were recognized as being under authority, and the demons responded.

In 2 Kings 4 the Shunammite woman in the parallel account perceived that Elisha was a man of God. She had been unable to conceive. God configured an atmosphere where honor from her pulled the virtue that the man carried simply from perceiving. She exercised honor and moved from perceiving to receiving.

Luke 5:17 says the power of God was present to heal. But the anointing available for everyone only went to one man because one man exercised honor and tore through the roof to get to Jesus. The anointing was released for a multitude but only one activated it through honor.

For Abraham, God spoke clearly. Nothing happened for years. Then Melchizedek came in Genesis 14. Tithes were given. Honor was demonstrated. And Melchizedek said, Blessed be Abraham of God the possessor of heaven and earth. That was the day heaven and earth were handed to Abraham. Shortly after, God appeared in Genesis 18 in the form of three men. Abraham hosted them with honor. And they announced: By this time next year, Sarah will have a son. It took men to put a date and a timeframe on the prophetic word.

Despite God appearing multiple times, nothing manifested until honor was configured and imputed.

Honor is not worship of men. We honor the God in them. When you identify with what they carry, you access what they carry for your own lifting. When you fight every pastor, you cut yourself off from the covering that produces results. There is no pastor you have not fought. That is the reason for your confusion.

There is a direct link between honor and authority. For you to exercise authority you must be under authority. David in 1 Samuel 24:6 and 1 Samuel 26:9 refused twice to stretch his hand against Saul. Saul had tried to kill him 21 times. Yet David refused to touch him. That was the honor system operating. David said, Who should stretch forth my hand against the Lord's anointed? And it was that honor posture that qualified David for the throne.

Key Four: The Voice of God

This woman had expertise. She had experience. But she wanted to know what God was saying.

The voice of God has three major manifestations:

  1. The voice of God powers motion. Genesis 3:8 the voice of God was walking. When you hear his voice you cannot remain stagnant. You cannot hear the voice of God and be stagnant. What God said last year in his program might not be what God is saying today. You must be intimate with God daily. Elijah was sent to ravens then to a widow. God moved him. He moves. What God said last year might have expired.
  2. The voice of God powers ascension. Revelation 11:12 the voice from heaven said, Come up hither, and they ascended. When you hear God it keeps taking you higher from one level of glory to another. You get ascension. You get progression. God is taking you from where you have been into where you should be.
  3. The voice of God silences accusation. Revelation 12:10 a loud voice in heaven declared, Now is come salvation and strength and the kingdom of our God, for the accuser of our brethren is cast down.

Accusing Voices

What voices are crying against you? Saul could not sit on the throne because he had killed the Gibeonites. The blood was speaking. The voices were crying. Saul was moving from place to place because the voices were trafficking around him. Evil spirits were trafficking around him because of what his predecessors had done, and David had to play the harp to quieten those voices.

There are people going to get jobs but there is a voice crying that no one has gone beyond a particular level in the family. Ancestral voices are crying. Generational voices are crying.

There was a village where missionaries were killed and one missionary before being beheaded declared, Not one person will rise in this village. That village produced no one of relevance for generations. When the people finally recognized the source of their captivity, they gathered, repented, and asked for mercy on the spot where the man was beheaded. Within six months, a commissioner was appointed from that place, then a chief judge, then within three years the governor of the state came from that place. The doors opened to their diaspora. The voices were silenced.

In the name of Jesus, every accusing voice against me, against my children, against my finances, against my health, against my progress, I silence you by the voice of God. I enforce a new constitution in my family. Restoration, enlargement, and advancement. In Jesus name.

They will not meet you where they left you. God has remembered you. No one in this place who is expecting the fruit of the womb will leave the same. God is taking you from where you have been into where you will be. You will exceed limits and break boundaries.

Inspiring Quote

Sermon

"One symptom of backsliding is that you begin to look down on the simple things that keep you on fire, calling a devotional 'just milk.' It's not about the information, it's about the consistency."
