Understanding the Power of Vision

A vision is the unfolding of God's plan as it relates to you and me. Where there is no vision, the people perish. But whoever keeps to the vision, happy is he.

Reach out to locate God's vision for your life. Don't leave it in the hand of a prophet. Reach out to God for it directly. Now, here is the mystery — Isaiah 29:11: the vision of all is like a book that is written. The vision of all is in the Book. So look out for His agenda for your life in the Book.

John found out what was written of him in the Book. Christ found out what was written of Him in the Book. Find out what is written of you in the Book.

God said some 48 years ago — 1977 — "My son, your future is in my plan, not in your plan." Jeremiah 29:11 — for I know the plan I have for you, the plan of welfare and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Your future is in His custody. So follow His plan.

Why You Need Vision

No one knows the future like the one who owns it. It is God who owns your tomorrow. He owns your tomorrow.

Jeremiah 29:11 — Your future is in my custody. So follow my plan.

Proverbs 3:5-6 — Trust in the Lord always, and lean not onto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.

James 4:13-14 — Go to now, ye that say today or tomorrow we will go into such a city and continue there a year and buy and sell and get gain — whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. No one knows tomorrow like the one who owns it.

The spirit man must be willing and open-hearted to access God's plan. To access God's plan, engage the altar of prayer to secure access. Whatever you desire when you pray, believe that you receive it and you shall have it. Jeremiah 33:3 — Call upon me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things that you know not.

Biblical Proofs of a True Vision

  • A true vision drives the visionary. Habakkuk 2:2 — Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run that reads it. Every true vision drives the visionary. When you catch a vision from scriptures, it is like fire shot up in your bones. It drives you automatically. Paul, a man of vision, said: I therefore so run, not uncertainly.
  • A true vision instils God's confidence. Every true vision instils God's confidence — confidence that puts the believer in command of the supernatural. Confidence is the conqueror's backbone in the battles of life. God-confidence will always deliver. Everything that happens by vision is a miracle, a supernatural. Confidence in God positions individuals to command the supernatural.
  • A true vision connects you to divine supply. God said to Abraham: "As far as your eyes can see, I give." We have a rich inheritance, but it is deliverable only as far as our eyes can see. The vision determines the territory of the supply.

The Path of the Just: Ups and Ups

Proverbs 4:18 — The path of the just man is as a shining light that shines more and more unto the perfect day. The Lord said: I have not designed life for ups and downs, but for ups and ups.

In 1981, that light was caught and this was written in a note: I am not prepared for a better last year till I go to heaven. That means ordained to keep making progress till Jesus returns. The perfect day is the day Jesus returns.

Your life is on auto drive — you will never know a better last year again.

From that day of encounter with that truth in 1981, there has not been a better last year, only ever a better new year.

From today, your life is on that auto drive. You will never know a better last year again. Your life keeps shining more and more until Jesus returns.

Inspiring Quote

Sermon

"One symptom of backsliding is that you begin to look down on the simple things that keep you on fire, calling a devotional 'just milk.' It's not about the information, it's about the consistency."
