Pastors like Moses — those who can command the sun to stand still until a message is finished — are not very common. Pastors who believe in miracles are what the church needs today.

When a preacher stands up and opens the Bible and says, "Turn to Matthew 4, to Luke 4, to John 3" — all we are telling you from the scripture is what Jesus would have said if He were standing here physically.

The Woman Caught in Adultery

Jesus met a woman caught in the act of adultery. Men brought her and said: "This woman was caught in the very act of adultery." Jesus looked at them and said: "Lovely — you caught her. But who was the man in the act? You caught her in the act — somebody was acting. Which among you was the one having adultery with her?" And they backed away.

It is easy to point out sinners and how they sin. God is not looking for sin-pointers. God is looking for sin-forgivers. John the Baptist said, "Behold the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world." I show you your sin — but Jesus takes it from you. Who will you follow — the man who tells you how bad you are, or the man who says you are bad but takes it from you?

Jesus said: "Go and sin no more." He didn't say she had no sin. He said: your accusers are gone — now go and leave that life.

God is not looking for sin-pointers. God is looking for the church that takes people from sin to transformation.

No transformation can take place in any life, no matter how religious that person is, unless they find Christ. They may know the church — but do they know the Owner of the church?

The Calling of the Church

When I came into ministry, there was not one preacher in Nigeria who could cause what the Bible calls a mighty move of God. I got worried and said to God: "If that is all You can do for those who answer Your call, then don't call me." My ambition was too high to be detained in mediocrity.

God told me: if you answer My call, I will make you an example. I met the gospel in poverty. I took it from democracy to prosperity. I was the first to preach in Africa that you can be a Christian and be happy — that to be blessed is the will of God.

The reason the ambassadors of God behave like victims is that they know the church but they don't know Me — the Owner of the church.

Be steadfast in your commitment. Keep your eyes on who called you. He who called you is faithful — He will complete what He started in you.

What Fire from God Requires

Those who come with prepared vessels receive the fire. What God cannot do, no man can improve upon. Nothing added to the grace of God improves it. Faith does not come by handkerchiefs or prayer cloths or candles or falling on the floor. Romans 10:17 — Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

What you have heard — receive it. What God has spoken over you — it shall come to pass. The fire of God falls on what is ready.
