Matthew 16:19
Keys of the Kingdom Operate on Earth
Jesus said, "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven."
The keys are the keys of the kingdom of heaven — but the location of execution is not in heaven. It is here on earth. The keys of the kingdom of heaven are not for heaven. They are given from heaven to bring heaven on earth.
Jesus when he prayed said, "Let thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven."
The place of expression, the place of implementation, the place of execution is here on earth.
Salt of the Earth, Light of the World
Matthew 5:13–14 — "Ye are the salt of the earth. But if the salt has lost its flavour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing but to be cast out and trodden under the foot of men."
If you notice why the world walks over the church today, it is because we lost our saltiness. We are thrown out of politics, thrown out of finance, thrown out of education, thrown out of everywhere that matters — and trodden underfoot. Why? We lost our saltiness.
"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden."

He calls us the salt of the earth and the light of the world. The earth is not the world. The earth is this physical structure — it belongs to God. But the world is the people and the systems. We are light of both.
Anywhere You See Darkness, Blame Light
Anywhere you see darkness, blame light. You don't blame darkness for darkness. You blame light for darkness.
Darkness has no light of its own. Darkness is helpless. The earth was filled with darkness, and God said, "Let there be light." Darkness can't help itself.
It is the switching off of light that causes darkness. When light removes itself, darkness is the natural consequence. So if you are complaining about how dark it has become in medicine, in academics, in the family — someone shut down their light.
ANYWHERE YOU SEE DARKNESS IN OUR MEDICAL SYSTEM — who do you blame? YOU SEE DARKNESS IN YOUR ACADEMIC SYSTEMS — who do you blame? You are the light of the world. It says you ARE the light — not that you are going to be. Even today you are already light.
God Left You Here for a Reason
There is a reason why God left you here. There is a reason why you are occupying space and time in this section of existence. God said to Esther, "Who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?"
THERE IS A REASON WHY GOD DID NOT TAKE YOU AWAY WHEN YOU GAVE YOUR LIFE TO CHRIST. There's a reason why after you gave your life to Christ, God did not take you out of this world. God doesn't want you in heaven yet.
If he wanted you in heaven, he would take you the moment you handed your life to him. Number one — God created you and sent you here deliberately.
Genesis 2:4–8 — God did not cause it to rain on the earth because there was no man to till the ground. God withheld rain because there was no man to manage the earth. What you call a garden is a managed bush. There are things God wants to do that he has not done because he has not found a man. Sometimes he is not able to pour out the kind of finance he wants to pour into your life because you have not managed what he gave you well.

Number two — he created you here to have dominion here.
Genesis 1:26–27 — "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness, and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, the fowl of the air, and over all the earth."
HE GAVE US THE KEYS of heaven to have dominion on the earth.
Number three — your assignment is here on earth.
Psalm 115:16 — "The heavens belong to God, but the earth has he given to the children of men."
Occupy Till I Come
Luke 19:11–13 — Because people thought the kingdom of God should immediately appear, Jesus spoke this parable. He said a certain nobleman went into a far country to receive a kingdom and to return. He called his ten servants, delivered to them ten pounds, and said, "Occupy till I come."
You are not sent here naked — but not empty. He gave you something and said: with this, occupy.
OCCUPY MEANS TO FILL UP. He didn't say wait for me to come. He didn't say pray for me to come quickly. He said OCCUPY.
- Occupy the White House.
- Occupy everywhere.
- Occupy every corner of the kingdom.

The Bible says the government shall rest on his shoulders. This was spoken to the church. He didn't say the government shall rest upon his head — it rests on the shoulders, the body of Christ. It is the church that bears the burden of government.
Jesus prayed for God to keep you here on the earth. In John 17:14–18, he prayed: "I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from evil. As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world."
The Wicked Servant
Luke 19:20–26 — Another servant came and said, "Lord, behold thy pound which I have kept laid up in a napkin. For I feared thee." The king said, "Thou wicked servant. Your own words condemn you. If you knew I was a man who takes where I did not lay and reaps where I did not sow — why then did you not put my money in the bank, that at my coming I might have collected it with interest?"
He called this servant WICKED. And he was wicked not because he misused the gift or misplaced it — he was wicked because he played it safe.
I gave you a song. You didn't sing it. You were afraid nobody would like it, so you played safe. I gave you a play, a story. You didn't write it — you were afraid people would criticize you. I gave you an idea that could change the world. I dropped it in your heart. You were afraid people would turn their backs on you.
I gave you substance. I gave you resources. I gave you a brain to think with. I said occupy. I didn't leave you empty.
You didn't do anything because you were afraid your Instagram likes would be small.
Bible calls that man a wicked man. In Matthew 25, his account calls that servant an unprofitable servant. There was no argument about whether he was a servant — he was. Just unprofitable. Why? He didn't engage. When you stay safe, you stay small every time.
Faith is not safe. Faith is to stand at the tipping point — where if God doesn't show up, you face shame. The blindness that comes with faith. The Bible says we walk not by sight but by faith. That place where you say, "God, I don't know what to do next" — that thing the Bible says without which no man can please God.
Engage the Media
When the Bible calls Satan the prince of the power of the air, he was talking about media. He that controls the air controls the earth. Satan wants to control what people can see and what they can hear. The internet is bombarded with ungodly stuff because Satan wants people constantly watching and hearing — because the more you hear it, people become what they behold.
IF THERE'S ANYBODY WHO SUPPOSED TO BE IN THE AIR 24 HOURS, 7 DAYS A WEEK, IT'S THE BELIEVERS. We have a better news than Satan has. WE ARE THE BEARERS OF THE GOOD NEWS.
We cannot leave movies to them. We cannot leave social media. Anything believers leave, Satan takes over quickly. You cannot tell me it's not your business.
That's why you cannot be poor. You need money to occupy the media. Millions of dollars to be on CNN. But if you are on CNN, the world will hear. They use money to cut us off from the mainstream. That's why this light must shine around the world.
Daniel was in politics. Esther was in politics. You can be in politics without compromising. Daniel came into influence by smartness. Esther came by beauty pageants — and destinies of generations were waiting on the prayer in the lips of that queen.
Satan is brandishing every marriage failure as if everybody has failed, so young people become afraid to marry. Our movies subtly approve cohabitation. Satan uses media because if you keep seeing something done, people will soon start bringing forth after that kind.
I will occupy. I will occupy that which the Lord has called me to do. I will not be a non-entity. I will not be a byword. I will not walk on the sideways. I am engaging on every ground. Everything the Lord gave to me, the Lord will take glory over my life.
The Lord said, "Occupy." Said to Joshua, "Every sole of your foot, I am giving to you." Occupy. Don't stay on the same place. Occupy education. Occupy business and finance. Go there with this light. Let your light shine in darkness.
