Welcome to the fourth day of the fast. Those who wait on God never waste in life. We shall look at grace, mercy and grace for the journey, the balance of the journey.
Hebrews 4:16
Mercy and grace are two things that are the assets of life, the assets of destiny and the assets of any journey.
What Mercy and Grace Do for Us
Mercy Preserves God's People from Being Consumed
Lamentation 3:22-23
It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning, great is His faithfulness. If not for mercy, some of us would have been gone long ago. If not for mercy, some of us would have been forgotten. For the remaining half of this year, we are appealing for mercy, for preservation, a mercy that prevents us from being consumed.
Mercy Occasions Judgment for the Adversary
Psalm 136:10-11, 17-21
Mercy on the people of God equals judgment on the adversary. To Him who smote Egypt in their firstborn, His mercy endures forever. To Him who smote great kings, His mercy endures forever. Sihon, king of the Amorites, and Og, the king of Bashan, His mercy endures forever. The mercy of God causes Him to smite the enemies of His people. We trust God for mercy to preserve our lives and to handle the adversaries of this nation and of our lives.
Grace Dismantles and Levels Mountains and Obstacles of Life
Zechariah 4:7
There may be mountains ahead we are not aware of, obstacles ahead in the balance of the year. We need grace to level them. Who art thou, O great mountain, before Zerubbabel? Thou shalt be leveled into a plain, and he shall bring forth the headstone with shoutings, crying, grace, grace unto it. Grace made the mountains waiting for us in the rest of the year, and grace levels them.
Grace Is the Secret of Ease
1 Corinthians 15:10
Where there is grace, things become easy. Maybe you have struggled throughout the first half of this year, but the struggle need not continue to the end of the year. Paul the Apostle said, "By the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain, but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me." It was easy for him to do many things by grace, not by his own strength. Grace makes for ease. It makes serious, difficult things become simple until you dare.

What Mercy and Grace Answer To
Mercy and Grace Answer to Prayer
Let us come boldly to the throne of grace, for mercy and grace answer to prayer.
Mercy and Grace Answer to Humility
James 4:6-7
God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. It takes humility to come before God and say, "Lord, I cannot do this by my own strength." Arrogant people do not pray. Proud people do not pray; they do not even come to church because they believe in their own strength, energy and ability. It takes a personal sense of helplessness to say, "Lord, I cannot do this thing by myself, and I rely on your grace."
- Father, thank You for the gift of life, breath and sustenance. Be glorified, Lord.
- Father, thank You for this fourth day of the fast. Thank You, Lord, for strength, help and testimonies. Be glorified, Lord.
- Lamentation 3:22-23 — Father, we ask for the manifestation of Your mercy for Your people in this second half of the year, to prevent us from being consumed by the enemy.
This communion communicates mercy and grace to you. The mercy of God prevents you from being wasted by any devil. You will not be consumed. No battle, no witchcraft power, no stray bullet, no terrorist, no bandit, no kidnapper will consume you or your loved ones. This mercy brings judgment on every adversary of your soul. All who will not let you rest shall be laid to rest for your sake. May grace be released to dismantle every mountain and every obstacle in your life. Every trace of struggle and sweating is cleared out now, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
Surely there is an end, and your expectations shall not be cut short. Whatever is yours that is in the hands of anybody is released back to your hands. Every sickness and affliction is healed. Every payment expected is released. Every expected document is released. This is a season of releases. God will answer you far beyond what you wrote on your expectation form.
