God's Word for the Minister

Zechariah had served in the temple for years. Words came for ministry assignments, for others' healing, for others to prosper — but his own word never came. Until that day. It didn't matter what the doctors were saying. It didn't matter what nature couldn't give him anymore. As long as that word came, everything changed.

Minsters can spend a lifetime delivering words for others and yet wait a long time for their own. Cry to God: Psalm 68:1. Lord, I am the tool in your hand. I have been a vessel in your hand. You have used me to help people. On this ground, that word that will take shame from me — that word that will terminate delay — let it come.

The Disciples Needed Empowerment

The twelve disciples of Jesus were already used to signs and wonders. They could cast out demons. There was only one occasion where they came to Jesus and He explained why they couldn't achieve a result. But before He left — and not minding the capacity they already displayed — He said to them: Acts 1:8. You cannot do this work just like that. You have to go and tarry. You shall receive power after the Holy Ghost comes upon you.

A man went into a place and came out of it another man. This is what empowerment does. Oh God, empower me. I need an empowerment. There is an assignment on my life and I need baptism of the Spirit. I don't want to be empty.

Carnality: The Counterfeit Anointing

One of the most dangerous things in the body of Christ is spiritual carnality — operating in the things of God with a carnal mind. There is a difference between the anointing being on a vessel and that person having the reverential fear of God. Many have learned to simulate what the Spirit does. They have turned ministry into performance.

The gimmicks and the game are so much. People who are supposedly healed in these meetings — nobody knows them. They are all strangers. Nobody has the address. The anointing of God on you does not heal your own members, does not heal people in your own church — the anointing is for outsiders, for the harvest field. What kind of wickedness, then, is it to manufacture healing among your own people while God's genuine anointing flows outward?

If you don't have it, you don't have it. Stay in your lane. One of the sons being trained said: I don't raise the dead. But when I hold a microphone, people must vomit — they get delivered. That is his lane. Develop it. That is a deliverance ministry.

Every ministry gift operates in a sphere. The prophet told a woman, "God is going to bless your husband." She said, "My husband is late — he is dead." He said, "I mean before he died." She said, "How can God bless somebody before he died?" If you don't have it, you don't have it.

The Reverential Fear of God

Deliverances, miracles, and healings are very real. In a meeting in Jema, a man came with a short leg. Said: "Grow out." It was on camera. The leg began to grow, grow, grow — it became longer than the original one. Said: "No, this one is longer now. Reduce it back. Leg, go back and become equal." It started growing back. As the man was sitting he was jumping, jumping, jumping — then just jumped outside and started going home. He was over-healed. We said, "Leg, reduce back." It reduced. He was jumping and ran outside.

With all God did that day — going home and sitting down, saying: "Father Lord, what is this? What kind of attack is this?" The greatest attack on authentic ministry is carnality — the desecration of holy things.

The Enemy's Plan: Silence

Ezekiel 3:20 and verse 26: the plan of the enemy is to make a ministry silent. He shall make your tongue cleave to the roof of your mouth, that you shall no more be a reprover for your rebellious house. There are people whose entire ministry, the enemy's plan is silence.

You watch preachers around the world and see places packed. But there are ministries where raw miracles happen, manifold manifestations — and the enemy wants those ministries to be silent. No matter what is happening there, it is not heard.

Are you aware there are people who don't give testimonies in church? Not because they have no testimony — but because the last time they gave one, attack came. They will tell you privately: "Daddy, see what God did for me." But come to the church? No. The enemy made the act of God silent.

You are used by God, but it is silent. Anointed, but it is silent.
