The Things You Have Stopped Praying About

There are times in a man's life when there are needs or problems that the man can look at and think, "Maybe I'm just going to die with this. Maybe this is not going to change."

The woman with the issue of blood came to Jesus — meaning she had hope that something could be done. Blind Bartimaeus cried to Jesus because he knew he could be restored. But the man at the pool of Bethesda — Jesus was passing by, and the man didn't even feel that maybe something could be done. He had accepted his fate. He said, "I have no man."

That tells us the nature of God. God is not just interested in touching the things you call him for. There are things he calls you for and says, "Let me help you with this." You are not praying about this not because it is not a need, but because you have concluded in your heart that maybe that is how it is going to be.

There are people joining this morning that there are certain things you are not praying about anymore. I hear the Lord say: bring it. I want to address it.

Every longstanding issue is addressed by the power in the name of Jesus. Every longstanding battle is addressed by the power in the name of Jesus. Every longstanding problem is addressed by the power in the name of Jesus. You won't die inside that problem. Your life will not be destroyed inside that problem. The hand of God rests upon you — the hand that removes sickness, the hand that removes the garment of nakedness, the garment of pain, of regret, of affliction, of ridicule in the name of Jesus.

Speed Is Measured in Alignment

1 Samuel 30:1-8 — The Amalekites had invaded Ziklag, burned it, and taken all the women and children captive. David and his men wept until they had no more power to weep. The people spoke of stoning him. But David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.

Then David inquired at the Lord, saying, "Shall I pursue after this? Shall I overtake them?" And God answered, "Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all."

Speed is measured in alignment — irrespective of the pressure. They wanted to stone David. The pressure was real. But he stayed to inquire from God. Speed without direction is dangerous. Any speed you embark on without divine alignment is dangerous.

It is in the place of alignment that people hear the voice saying, "This is the way, walk in it."

When God sends, he backs. When it is God sending you, he backs you. Moses said, "I will not go except that your presence goes with me." That is alignment — being strategically positioned.

What Slows Your Speed

God was bringing speed to Peter concerning the Gentiles. Acts 10:9-16 — A sheet was let down from heaven with different kinds of animals. God said, "Kill and eat." The man said, "Yes Lord" and also said "No." How can you say Lord and also say No? While God was bringing that speed, the mind of the man was not in alignment with it. God had to take that assignment to someone else.

Some of you, it is not just the speed that is the issue. Some of us have to do what they call mind renewing. The renewal of the mind. Because some of you, it is not that God is not bringing speed your way — it is that your mind is not in alignment with the speed that is coming.

• Speed for you in this season may be signing up for mentorship.
• Speed for you may be registering to learn a skill.
• Speed for you may be fastening yourself to the right house.
• Speed for you may be rebuilding a broken relationship, so that God's blessing can flow through that person to you.

Joseph in Genesis 41 — God wanted to bring him to a season of speed and restoration. But Joseph, while in prison, had built a relationship with the chief butler and the chief baker. If he had no relationship with them, nobody would mention his name in the palace. Speed requires emotional intelligence. It requires human relationship.

Don't entertain habits that slow destiny. God has released speed, but some people are still entertaining habits that slow down destiny. You cannot be praying for speed and entertaining habits that slow destiny.

For God to carry you, you must be light. If somebody is drowning, the diver can only rescue them if they surrender. If they keep fighting and struggling, nothing can be done — both will drown. Speed in that context is surrender. Some of us have to surrender this morning.

Father, what will you have me do this season? That relationship, that business — Lord, what will you have me do? I want to stay in alignment. I will receive the blueprint needed for the speed that is allocated to me this season in the name of Jesus.

Lord, every habit that slows down the speed that God is releasing my way — I disconnect myself from it. I cast out every imagination. I pull down every stronghold of the mind. My mind is renewed in the name of Jesus. Every weight that wants to slow me down this season, I release it now in Jesus' name.

A Word for Families

I am seeing a family this morning. The wife is bitter towards the husband — you still cook, you still joke and laugh, but internally you have been bitter for a while. You are offended. And the Lord is saying this morning that you have to forgive your husband, because that is the little force that has been slowing down the pace of what God wants to do with that family.

Go and meet your husband. Say: "I have not been happy with this particular thing you did. But today I let it go." And both of you join hands together and pray, because it has been a while since the two of you prayed together. God wants to do something for your family in this season.

Speed is coming. Speed should not come and meet old habits. You cannot put new wine into an old wineskin — everything will spoil. Imagine the fastest man in a 100m race, carrying heavy bags. Even if he is the fastest man, he cannot run far. Some of us need to release those loads. Let it go.

There is going to be an avalanche of testimony — abundant testimony for every one of us. The testimonies will be unbelievable, yet undeniable. God is not giving arithmetic testimony this season. It is going to be a geometric quantum leap. The hand of God has come upon us — for speed, for speed, for speed.
