Apostle Johnson Suleman Preaching - Season of Quick Manifestation
Sermon

lightbulb Message Summary - Key Nuggets

  • Quick manifestation is when God gives you in a short time what you lost in a long time — compressing years into moments of divine compensation.
  • There are two categories of people: those who go out to pursue blessings, and those God brings blessings to — you can be enlisted in the second group.
  • Going an extra mile — in prayer, the Word, love, and obedience — triggers God's timing and fast-forwards his plan for your life.
  • Connection and intimacy with the Holy Spirit is the source of depth and power; without it, all the knowledge and arguments produce an empty life.

Hope Deferred

Nothing brings depression like prolonged expectation. Proverbs 13:12 — hope deferred makes the heart sick.

If you study the psalmist, he always questioned God over his promises, over what God assured him about, over what was written concerning him. In Psalm 6:3, Psalm 13:1, Psalm 35:17, Psalm 74:9, Psalm 90:13, Psalm 94:3 — Lord, how long? He had an expectation that was prolonged and things were not happening based on the template of what he saw written concerning him. Because every man has a book. Psalm 40:7 — "I come in the volume of the book written concerning me to do your will, O God."

When things are not happening, we should ask questions. I discovered that when believers expect something from God and it is not happening, they don't ask. Laxity is not peace. Quietness is not rest. The graveyard is quiet and many people are not resting in peace.

One of the problems I have with this generation is that everything is a joke. We don't sit down and ask ourselves: why am I still in this?

Season of Quick Manifestation

Genesis 27:20 — Isaac said to his son, "How is it that you have found it so quickly, my son?" And he said, "Because the Lord brought it to me."

Quick manifestation is when:

  • God gives you in a short time what you lost in a long time
  • God compresses time but you achieve much
  • God gives you compensation under pressure

There are people who go out and pursue things. There are others who sit where they are and the things come to them. You are being enlisted into that second army. There is a prophetic word over someone here: you are not going to look for it. God is bringing it to you. He is bringing help to you. He is bringing favor to you. He is bringing opportunity to you.

Abba Father

When we understand how much of God and his love and his mercies belong to us — the Bible says in Romans 8:15 and Galatians 4:6 that we have received a spirit of adoption by which we cry Abba Father. Abba Father cannot be defined — it can only be described.

I remember when my first child was born. All of you who are fathers and mothers did the same thing — you go to your child and make yourself look foolish just to make them smile. That is Abba. The God who came to your level. The God who knows your frailties, your limitations, your weaknesses, your pain, your struggles, your restrictions — and yet loved you all the same. Romans 5:8 — God commended his love toward us while we were yet sinners. John 13:1 — having loved his own, he loved them to the end. Jeremiah 31:3 — I have loved you with an everlasting love.

Your family looked down on you — God accepted you. People mocked you — God accepted you. Your friends condemned you — God accepted you. This God loves you just as you are.

Principles, Not Just Prayer

The church has zero value for principles. People pray and fast — machines. But when it comes to principles, nothing. Yet principles are what make things happen. Even demons are rated by principles — that is why there is a rank of principalities.

When Daniel was praying for 21 days and the prince of Persia withstood Gabriel, it was not that the prince was stronger than Gabriel — it was about jurisdiction and rank. Only princes can contain princes. That is why Michael came — because he was a prince. We are talking of principles.

When you see a man looking normal but commanding extraordinary results, that is a man who engages in principles. Your connection to Jesus answers to redemption. What answers to provision and protection are principles — elements of engagement.

Every person who was raised from the dead in scripture was raised on the platform of something they did — something they held, a value they carried, that triggered the resurrection:

  • Jairus — he was in the synagogue, a man of the house
  • Lazarus — Mary and Martha fed and served Jesus
  • The Shunammite's son — she gave Elisha a chamber
  • Dorcas — she did good works

It was what they did before they died that they were brought back to life on. If you are ineffective, why bring you back?

Going an Extra Mile

Matthew 5:41 — "If somebody pleads with you to go with him a mile, go an extra mile."

There are things you can command that would have taken ten to fifteen years. You can trigger the timing. The organic plan of God was that salvation go first to the Jews and then to the Gentiles. But a man named Cornelius fasted and prayed for four days — and God said, "Send for Peter." While Peter was speaking, the Holy Ghost fell. Someone went an extra mile and fast-forwarded the plan of God. He altered — he fast-forwarded — the timing. Why? Because he went an extra mile.

The problem with the church today is that we do not understand that manifestation is not about memorizing scripture or attending every program. It is about putting to practice what is in scripture. That is where power is. That is where wonders reside.

Are you aware that even though Isaac said he wanted food, what Jacob did was go the extra mile? "Get me two goats. Let me prepare." He went an extra mile.

There is a plan God has for you. A purpose. A pursuit. But the fulfillment of that purpose is resident in going an extra mile — doing what others are not doing, taking steps beyond the norm, taking steps beyond the ordinary.

Go an extra mile in:

  1. Your love for God
  2. Prayer
  3. The Word — activate what is in scripture

Your Love for God Is Reflected in Your Love for People

In Luke 10:30, Jesus tells the story of the Good Samaritan. The Levite and the priest passed by a wounded man — not because they were evil, but because they were fulfilling scripture: Ezekiel 44:2 says do not go near the dead. But they were Levites and priests without mercy, without compassion.

A Samaritan — one who is "in between" (half-Jewish, half-Samaritan) — came. It takes a man who is in between to understand what a man who is in between is going through. It takes a man who is on a journey to understand what a man on a journey who got attacked is going through. And the Bible says power was present to heal them — but it only manifested on one. Why? Because one went an extra mile.

Your love for God is reflected in your love for people. The bottom is crowded. Break the roof. People on the floor are too many. Break the roof — go above what everybody else is doing.

The Holy Spirit and Intimacy

You need connection with the Holy Spirit. Rebecca heard Isaac say something — that is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit reveals the heart of God, the mind of God, the intents and purposes of God to you.

Acts 2:4 — they were filled with the Holy Ghost. Acts 4:31 — they prayed again, the place was shaken, and they were filled again. Between chapter 2 and chapter 4, something had depreciated — so they needed to be filled again. Jesus was the greatest rabbi who ever lived. He expounded scripture, taught with children, animals, coins — but as he was leaving, he said: "Please, tarry in Jerusalem. All I have taught you is nothing without power. Spend time. Be mingled with the Holy Ghost. Be endued with power."

People spend more time on their phone than on the throne. Rather than building intimacy with God, they are building addictions. Using your phone too much is not sin — it is a weight. It is a weight that brings spiritual heaviness. It competes with your time with God. Lay aside every weight and the sin.

Depth is a function of time, not just knowledge. There are things that only come with time. The remnant of the house of Judah shall take root downward and bear fruit upward — your root determines your fruit.

You Attract What You Are

There are things people are pursuing that are just around them — and God is bringing it to them. People are chasing what is supposed to chase them. You don't attract what you chase. You attract what you are.

Sometimes the problem is that people cannot see the real you — something else is covering you. Your identity in the spirit has been obscured. As we pray now, God is uncovering it. What was done against you in the spirit realm — we undo it. We change the story.

What you have expected and what you have pursued — God is bringing it to you. The help you looked for and the people who made you promises and disappointed you — God is overriding it. You are not going to look for it. God is bringing it to you. Quick manifestation. It comes to you. What you have pursued is coming to you now. In the name of Jesus.

Inspiring Quote

Sermon

"One symptom of backsliding is that you begin to look down on the simple things that keep you on fire, calling a devotional 'just milk.' It's not about the information, it's about the consistency."
