If you let family dictate your home, if you let your position dictate your home, if you climb up a ladder and pull off the steps you used in climbing — it's a form of spiritual suicide. If money becomes your power, you will not live too long. The only security in this world is God Almighty.
Who Are You?
John 1:22 — Then they said to him: "Who are you, that we may give an answer to those who sent us? What do you say about yourself?"
So many people in this world today don't know who they are. So many people don't know themselves. When the devil comes to their marriage, to their family, to their finances, to their home and asks questions — they have no answer. If you discover who you are, you will give an answer. Until you know who you are, you cannot give people answers to their problems.
John the Baptist answered clearly. He was not the Christ. He was not Elijah. He was not the Prophet. He said: "I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness: make straight the way of the Lord."
He was a voice. Not an echo — a voice. An echo only repeats what someone else says. A voice originates. A voice has something to say on its own. You are not an echo. You are a voice.
People in this world have tried many things for security. They've tried secret societies, positions, connections. Anything made by man and not backed by God will not last long. You need a security, a protection, a covering, a shelter, a hiding place — and there is only one place, having known the whole world: the blood of Jesus, under the everlasting arm of Christ, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
The Voice Knows Its Assignment
When you know who you are, you are not moved by threats. John the Baptist stood before kings. He was not afraid to say what needed to be said. A voice doesn't change its message because of the audience.
If naira becomes your power, it will fail you. If position is your identity, it will shift. But if your identity is in God — if you know you are called, positioned, and sent — then no challenge can silence you.
God's calling on a person does not change with circumstance. What God puts in you is stable. The step of a righteous person is ordered by God. You are not in the wrong place. If God put you where you are, you are in the right place — and the right place will produce the right result at the right time.
Everywhere you have been has been preparation. The bush was preparing David. The prison was preparing Joseph. The wilderness was preparing John. Every location of obscurity is a training ground for manifestation.
Don't let people convince you that you need to be somewhere else to be used. A voice cries in the wilderness — not only on the mainstage. If you are faithful where you are, God will expand your platform.
Lord, let every person know who they are in You today. Let the spirit of confusion about identity be broken. Let every voice rise and speak what You have put in them. Let no enemy silence what You have commissioned. In Jesus name.
You are not an echo. You are a voice. What God has placed in you is specific, irreplaceable, and needed. Rise and speak it.
