Nothing Begins Independent

To cultivate a kingdom nation, we must first talk about dependence. Nothing in life begins independent — nothing. That includes you. You began dependent in your mother's womb, feeding on your mother's food through the placenta. You had to depend on your mother for life.

Every fruit began dependent — attached to a tree, sucking out the sap. Every animal began dependent. All nations began dependent.

Dependence in the context of a nation is called colonization. The Bahamas was dependent on the Kingdom of Great Britain — we were a colony. The word colony comes from the word colon — an organ in your body. The concept of the colon is that what goes into the mouth ends up in the lower body. Whatever is in the head ends up in the territory. That is why it is called colonization.

Colonization is the extension of the government, influence, values, morals, and culture of a kingdom to foreign territories. Therefore, kingdoms colonize through influence.

The Key to Colonization Is Constitutional Law

The most powerful law on earth is constitutional law. The way the Bahamas was colonized by Great Britain was by bringing all of these islands under their constitutional laws.

Whenever you are in Rome, you do as the Romans do. No matter where in the Roman world you were, you were under Roman law. The law of the kingdom is the key — it controls your whole life.

And so when the British colonized these islands, there was a governor in the colony. His responsibility: to enforce the law from England. The prison was called Her Majesty's Prison. The police force was called the Royal Bahamas Police Force. The land was called Crown Land. Everything was property of the kingdom. And when you are colonized under a kingdom, the law is the key — it controls your whole life.

What Happens When You Declare Independence

When you declare independence from a kingdom:

• You reject the government authority
• You reject the governor — the enforcer of the laws of that kingdom
• You reject the constitution — and write your own laws, your own standards, your own morals, your own values, your own culture
• You reject the laws of the kingdom
• You reject the system of the kingdom — how they live, work, act
• You reject the values of the kingdom
• You reject the culture

When you declare independence from a kingdom, you must find your own culture. This is important: when Adam declared independence from heaven, he did exactly all of these things.

What Adam Really Lost

Adam did not lose a tree. Adam lost a kingdom.

1. Adam lost a kingdom — the rule and dominion of heaven on earth.
2. Adam lost the whole nation. In him was a whole nation. The Bible says his loins were filled with the nations. In one man, God had the nations of the world. When Adam fell, the whole nations fell.
3. Adam lost the government. That is why the prophecy about Christ coming says: unto us a child is born, a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulders. He is coming to bring back what Adam lost.

4. Adam lost the laws of that country — the consciousness of the laws of God. His mind became numb to the laws of God. That is why lawlessness and murder followed almost immediately after the fall.
5. Adam lost a moral code. He immediately blamed his wife, attacked her. Domestic problems, marriage problems — no more moral standards.
6. Adam lost the value system. What do we value now? Money. Clothes. Cars. Not human life. Not marriage. Not faithfulness.
7. Adam lost a culture — the lifestyle of heaven on earth.

Notice there is no religion on that list. Adam was never given a religion. So he never lost one. So Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Scientology — all religions are completely helpless to solve what humanity lost. This is why religion is a frustration to the human soul. The mission of Jesus therefore was not to start a religion. It was to bring back everything on that list.

Matthew 6:9-13: Jesus says, "When you petition, here is what to petition for: Our Father who is in the home country, holy is your name. Let your kingdom come back to earth. Let your will — your culture — be done on earth as it is in heaven."

You are not to pray for food, clothes, cars, or houses. You pray for the culture of heaven to come back, the values to come back, the morals to come back, the government to come back.

Jesus came to recolonize earth. He came to cancel the independence that Adam declared. That is why he is called the Second Adam.

God Has Only One Race and One Vision

God created only one race: the human race. There is no white race, black race, red race, or yellow race to God. God only made man — human. And from one man, he brought 6.7 billion people.

Acts 17:26: "From one man God made every nation of men that they should inhabit the whole earth. And he determined the time set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him."

Why did God create nations? So that when people encounter that nation, they would get to see God. God did not make the Bahamas for gambling and immorality. He made countries so that when people visit, they would see God.

When a nation removes God from its constitution, its schools, and its courtrooms, it begins the path that Rome took. Rome was not destroyed by an army. It was destroyed by its own moral corruption. No army defeated Rome — it imploded from the inside.

Exodus 19:4-6: "Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant, then out of all the nations you will be my treasured possession. Although the whole earth is mine, you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation."

God never says he will make you a holy religion. He wants a holy nation — a culture that looks like heaven in your country, laws that look like heaven's laws in your parliament.

1 Peter 2:9: "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praise of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light."

The Foundation of a Nation Is Law

The first thing God gave the children of Israel when he brought them out of Egypt was law. And that is where a kingdom nation must begin. You got to begin with laws.

What does law produce?

• Ideologies — all your ideas come from laws
• Values — it tells you what to value
• Morals — it tells you how to live
• Standards — what you measure society against
• Convictions — what should make you guilty and what not guilty
• Judgments — how to make decisions in society
• Relationships — how to relate to people within the society
• Lifestyle — the laws produce a way of living

Laws are the foundation of a nation because the power of law produces everything that constitutes a culture. If you want to change a country, change the law. If you change the law, it is culture.

Is there a single law in the Bible that is bad for national development? Not one. Every law God gave is good for country development. And yet nations remove God from their laws while adopting his principles under different names. God said, "Thou shalt not steal" — every country uses it, but they won't follow God. God said, "Thou shalt not bear false witness" — every country adopts it, but they won't follow God.

When God says keep the Sabbath — the Hebrew word is Shabbat, meaning rest — he was saying nationally: never work seven days a week. It was a national health law. He made your body. He knows how it works. You need to renew your mind and body. If you work seven days without rest, you destroy your people. It was not a religious law. It was a law to protect the country.

Psalm 19:7: "The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy."

God says, "The law of my kingdom is so good, it will revive your soul." Can you imagine the laws of a country actually giving the people life?

May we never become independent from God — that is the bottom line.
