Looking Unto God

Psalm 34:5 — "They looked unto him and they were lightened and their faces were not ashamed."

The most profitable direction for anybody on earth to look is God.

• When you look unto yourself, you end in shame.
• When you look up to human beings, you end in frustration.
• When you look around at the situation around your life, your life will hang around.
• When you look down, you go down.

The only place where you can be sure of your life's destiny on earth and in eternity is Almighty God.

The Bible said they were enlightened. Connection to God is connection with light. Every one of us needs light in order not to walk in darkness. This world is full of darkness — the darkness of evil, the darkness of wickedness, the darkness of witchcraft and curses, the darkness of iniquity and uncleanness.

If you are not connected to God through his son Jesus, who said, "I am the way, the truth and the life" — who said, "I am the light of the world" — life will be full of darkness. If you lack light, you lack sight. You can't see far. If you lack light, you miss the way. You end up doing several things that lead you away unto destruction and disaster.

So that every one of us will begin to walk in the light by connecting to the owner of light — so that we can walk in light, so that the burden and weight on our lives can be lifted.

We live in a world of pressures. We live in a world of weight. We live in a world of burdens. These weights can be lifted as we come to look unto the one who is our life and who is our light and who sent his son Jesus to die for the sins of the world so that whosoever believes in him will not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16.

Invitation to the Light

Are you filled with darkness? Darkness of drunkenness, darkness of immoral life, darkness of stealing, the darkness of bitterness and hatred and evil. Darkness of not serving God — you are a god to yourself, you fear nobody, you worship nothing, you wake up in the morning and just start living.
