When God taught me to build Miracle Centre, I had 120 dollars. I finished it.
When we started Faith Arena, I had 514 dollars. It ended with millions — paid for.
Many of your dreams have never come to pass — either you have not started, or you want to do it by power and might. And God says: it shall be done by My Spirit. Zechariah 4:6 — Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord.
God told me to start a university. I said, "Lord, how do we start a university?" He said: "I told you I would build My church. If 120 can build Miracle Centre, and 514 can do Faith Arena, then 1,000 can start a university."
I had 1,000 dollars ready to start a university. And today we have the first Christian university in the continent of Africa.
The Root of Recession
The reason for recession is absence from source. That is why any nation that turns its back on God enters recession. When a people or person disconnects from their source — the living God — the supply dries up. Recession is not primarily economic. It is spiritual.
God is not interested in how big your problem is — He is interested in whether you are connected to Him. What man cannot do, God will do. The key is staying at the source.
Don't put My workload on people — put it on Me. Don't make it hard for yourself, because My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
Start Where You Are
Many of your dreams wait for the perfect conditions that never come. But every project of God begins with something in your hand that looks insufficient.
Go. Start. If God says it, He will do it.
I started from twelve souls, grew to 200 souls, then to half a million, then to one million — to God be the glory. I started preaching from village to village, one church to two, two to three. From twelve souls the ministry grew beyond count. Not because I was the most talented but because I was the most obedient.
God told me: do what will not die when you die. Build hospitals. Build schools. Build what your children's children will meet. A good man leaves an inheritance for his children's children. We are entering an era where what we do now, our children will inherit. Build for posterity.
Nothing shall be restrained from you that you determine to do. Start. God will finish it. The 120 will become millions. The 514 will become Faith Arena. The 1,000 will become a university. Start where you are with what you have.
Lord, we return to You as our source. Let recession — financial, spiritual, relational — end where You begin. Let every dream that has stalled be restarted. Let us be obedient to begin. We trust You to complete it. In Jesus name.
