Origin Is Key to Destiny
The subject is Taking Your Place in Destiny. The objective of this teaching is twofold: understanding our destiny from our origin, and understanding the way into our destiny.
Generally, origin is key to destiny. A good understanding of one's origin is critical to understanding one's destiny. If you originated from a lion, there are things expected of your life. If a lion gave birth to you, you are expected to roar. You will not eat leftover food. You will not eat food left by jackals. You kill your prey fresh. So when the origin is known, the destiny can be clear.
There are two things that show us what to expect from man. Number one, God originated man. Genesis 1:27 — so God created man in his own image; in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Since we know how God is, we have an understanding of what our destiny should be. Adam functioned the way humanity should function before the fall. If we understand God, and we understand how Adam functioned before he fell into sin — which is what Jesus came to recover us into — then we will understand human destiny.
Five Dimensions of Human Destiny
A Destiny of Spirituality
God is a spirit and God made man in his image. John 4:24 — God is a Spirit, and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. 2 Corinthians 3:17 — now the Lord is that Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

Natural life is the life that animals live. But we are meant to live a higher order of life. You are not meant to struggle to pray. Prayer is your realm. You are not meant to struggle to worship, to hear God, or to fellowship with God. That is our realm. We are not meant to struggle to fast.
It becomes a problem when your desires are more natural than spiritual. When desire for food, desire for cloth, desire to watch movies — when all these things are higher than your spiritual desires, that shows the kind of life you are living. You are a human being made from the dust of the earth. But above that, inside you, is a spiritual man. Your body is like the cloth you are wearing — it is not the real you. The real you is spiritual.
Many of us — our humanity content is higher than our spirituality content. That is why we live the kind of life we live and see the results we see. Our destiny is a destiny of spirituality where the spiritual is more real to us, where the spiritual makes more sense to us, where we are at home in the spiritual climate.
A Destiny of Authority
A destiny of authority — being in control, being in command, being in charge of all forces under heaven. Genesis 1:27-28 — God created man in his own image and said, "Be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth." Take charge. Be in charge. Be in command.
Psalm 8:3-8 — what is man that thou art mindful of him? Thou hast made him a little lower than Elohim, crowned him with glory and honor, and made him to have dominion over the works of thy hands. All things are put under his feet. Genesis 9:1-2 — God blessed Noah and said, "The fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth."
God did not create you to be under the command of any devil, under the control of any witch or wizard, under the command of any diabolic power or affliction.

In the name of Jesus — I refuse to be under the domination, under the control, under the rule of any force of darkness, of any power of hell. My destiny is a destiny of authority and I take my place of authority in the name of Jesus. When you don't know who you are, you will not know how to live. When you don't know who you are, everything is acceptable. Our destiny is not to be pressed down by any devil at night, not to be forcefully given food to eat by any force of darkness.
A Destiny of Supernaturality
We are created not just to be spiritual beings at home fellowshipping in the company of spirits — but to be supernatural. Dwelling in the realm where your operations and your results cannot be fully explained by natural laws or reasoning.
Job 5:8-9 — I will seek unto God, who doeth great things and unsearchable, marvelous things without number. Job 9:10 — great things past finding out, and wonders without number.
Adam, when God asked him to name the animals, how would he name the fish without being inside the water? How would he name the eagle without either flying to his realm or summoning it? I believe either Adam was in that realm, or that realm met Adam where he was. He was an absolute supernatural being in every sense of the word.
I want us to react against everything about our life being natural. Let there be some element of supernaturality in your everyday life. Things happen that cannot be fully explained by natural laws or reasoning — that is how our God is.

arrow_forwardI announce to somebody today: God is ushering your life into the realm of supernatural foresight, supernatural eyesight. You are about to begin to get results that will beat your imagination — results that cannot be explained in the spirit, in the physical, in the natural realm.A Destiny of Supernatural Eyesight and Insight
We are created in the image of the all-knowing God. Hebrews 4:13 — neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight, but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. 1 Samuel 2:3 — the Lord is a God of knowledge; while people are acting, he knows exactly why they are acting the way they are acting. Daniel 2:22 — he revealeth the deep and secret things; he knoweth what is in the darkness.
When God made Adam in his image and passed him through a test — bringing all the animals to see what Adam would call them — whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name. Adam scored 100 over 100. God called this one lion; Adam said this is lion — correct. This is elephant — correct. This is baboon — correct.
Adam was not called a prophet. He was living a normal life. But there is a prophetic existence. 1 John 2:20 — you have an unction from the Holy One and you know all things. You may not see a vision or dream a dream, but you know. You knew this was not a good business. You knew this was not a good man. You knew this was not a good friend. But our problem is that we live our lives by sentiment instead of principles.
I decree today: there shall be an explosion, an escalation of supernatural foresight and supernatural eyesight. God is ushering your life into the realm of supernatural foresight, supernatural insight. Step in there in the name of Jesus.A Destiny of the Blessing of God
Our destiny is a destiny of increase. Genesis 1:28 — and God blessed them. Genesis 9:1-2 — and God blessed Noah and his sons. Genesis 12:2-3 — I will make of thee a great nation, I will bless thee and make thy name great, and thou shalt be a blessing; I will bless them that bless thee and curse them that curseth thee. Genesis 26:12-14 — Isaac sowed in that land and received in the same year a hundredfold, and the Lord blessed him. Genesis 32:24-28 — Jacob wrestled until he prevailed: thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel, for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men.
It is a destiny of blessing, not a destiny of struggle, not sweating without result. Sweating was a curse — it came at the fall. Any curse walking around your life came too late. We were blessed before the curse came. The blessing existed before the curse. The detergent existed before the stain.
A destiny of increase, multiplication, empowerment unto success. Whatever we lay hands on is to prosper, flourish, explode, and bring forth results. You are not on the earth to look pitiable or beggarly. You were created by a God who blessed you before your fathers did the thing that brought the curse.
The closer your nature is to the nature of God, the closer you are to your destiny. There is no destiny other than becoming like him, looking like him.
The Way into Destiny: Being Like God
Way number one into destiny is being like God — because if he made us in his image, to fulfill destiny we must be like him. 2 Corinthians 3:18 — we all with open face, beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, as by the Spirit of the Lord.
Matthew 11:28-29 — Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
