A Touch of God's Right on Your Life
Do not forget that there is a touch of God's right on your life that affects your ears. Your ears cannot be made available to listen to just everything. Jesus said, "Take heed how you hear."
Our walk with God is militant. Satan will seek to take advantage of every situation, every circumstance to distract you, to divert your attention. He will take advantage of legitimate things and throw them at you with the hope that you will be distracted from your unique goal — which is Christ Jesus. He is the one who authored the salvation upon which our lives are based. He is the one who manages the grace that supplies what we need in our walk with God.
Satan wants to elevate a situation and make it your unique goal instead of Christ. But as we keep looking unto Jesus, that is how to run the race. Hebrews 12:2 — we run by looking. We need to look away from everything that competes in order to look onto Jesus. We need to despise every flame that Satan kindles around our lives in order to maintain focus on him.
The Blood of Consecration
From our previous study, we saw that the blood of the ram of consecration is placed upon the ear, upon the thumb of the hand, and upon the big toe. This is the description of the burden of consecration that God places upon the believer:
- Your ear cannot hear everything — it has been sanctified.
- Your hand cannot handle whatever you want — it has been set apart.
- Your feet cannot be in places that God will not approve — they have been consecrated.

Consecration is not possible except through consistent prayer. You cannot separate prayer from consecration. If you sustain a consistent life of prayer, it will result in the act of consecration.
Evidence From the History of Prayer
We recently visited the actual church of a great intercessor in Tennessee. He led prayer in the city square for two years every Tuesday with his megaphone, leading the whole city to pray. The history of the move of God in that land reveals how Satan was so vexed by the things that prayer achieved. He did not want even one monument pointing to those days of glory to remain in Christian hands. Churches where mighty meetings were held changed ownership — even went into the hands of non-Christians.
You could see Satan fighting through the ages to blot out the witness of such men of prayer. It was a move born out of a commitment to holy living and prayer.

When holy living and prayer collide, it produces something that Satan cannot manage.
The Emphasis of This Ministry
This is a missionary-type ministry focused on the development of believers — because believers are the treasure that will be in the hands of Jesus at this critical end-time moment to extend the frontiers of his influence. The individuals we are developing must be capable of a love for Jesus that exposes them to a lifetime of sacrifice to serve his will.
For many years, the mark of doctrinal emphasis has been on the wrong note. Teaching believers how to prosper is not wrong — but if that becomes the major thrust, it produces believers who do not have the capacity, and do not feel the responsibility, to sacrifice for the cause of Jesus. There are ways of using scripture that produce misaiming — not outright error, not heresy, but a subtle departure from the true purpose of the gospel.
Your Salvation Was Designed to Travel
Every saved person is an entry point into the mission field of their extended family. God saved you not so that you would travel alone, but so that the entire household can be recovered.
Acts 16:14-15 — Lydia's heart was opened by the Lord. Her household was baptized with her — not because her household was already open, but because she was. It was her open heart that became the gateway. Salvation is supposed to be a household mission.
Luke 19:9 — Jesus said to Zacchaeus, "Today salvation has come into this house."
Joshua 24:15 — Joshua declared, "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." He did not consult the members of his household before deciding for them. God chose to deal with Abraham for the same reason — because he knew Abraham would command every member of his household to follow the ways of the Lord.
Part of our spiritual ranking in the presence of God is our willingness to be conduits through which the kingdom of God can be extended.
- It is not enough to be saved and excited about your own salvation while explaining how demonic your siblings are and how righteous you are.
- Even if those people are your step-sisters or step-brothers from another mother — do not travel alone.
- Begin at least by interceding for them by name. That is part of your jurisdiction in terms of service delivery.
Because you are the evangelist of the household, it will be by your hand that God destroys the tower of enmity that has been built in that arrangement — so that the grace of God that brings salvation will appear to your household.
How to Unlock the Inheritance
The key is consecration through prayer. A consistently praying believer becomes a consecrated believer. A consecrated believer is one whose ear, hand, and feet are submitted to God. And a believer in that condition becomes an instrument through which God can reach into a family, a community, a city.
Satan fights the witness of prayer because he knows that wherever a believer surrenders to consistent prayer, the entire ecosystem around that person begins to shift. He has a historical track record of trying to erase monuments and testimonies of prayer because he fears what prayer produces.
The family's spiritual inheritance is not unlocked by a single dramatic event. It is unlocked by the believer who chose to be consecrated — who chose prayer over convenience — and in doing so, became the door through which God could enter.
Start mentioning their names. Pray for them. Because you know that this is your jurisdiction — and the grace that brings salvation will appear to your household.
