Preservation by Divine Direction

The seeds of destiny for today are titled: Preservation by Divine Direction.

Romans 8:14 — for as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

It has been confirmed that the way of wisdom is the way of life. On the contrary, the way of foolishness is the way of death. It is possible for people to die before their time because of foolishness.

Ecclesiastes 7:17 — Be not overly wicked, neither be thou foolish. Why should you die before your time? When a person is excessively wicked and foolish, he cannot escape premature death.

Proverbs 10:21 — The lips of the righteous feed many, but fools die for lack of wisdom.

Proverbs 9:6 — Forsake the foolish and live, and go in the way of understanding. Do you want to live? Forsake everything foolish — including the fool — and you will live.

The Absence of Direction Is the Presence of Disaster

Divine wisdom is a product of divine direction. Divine direction is also key to divine preservation. To be guided by God is to avert danger and disaster.

• The absence of direction is the presence of disaster. If God is not leading you, the waters will be troubled. He cannot restore your soul if he is not the one leading you — Psalm 23:1-3.
• The absence of direction is the abundance of destruction. There were those who went on journeys they were not meant to go on, who entered relationships they were not meant to enter.

Proverbs 22:3 — A prudent man foresees the evil and hides himself, but the simple pass on and are punished. The wise man who is guided foresees evil and hides. The uninformed, the person who does not follow instructions, simply moves on and suffers punishment. If you understand that suffering consequences comes from not being able to foresee what lies ahead, you will run from lack of wisdom and lack of direction.

Note this: it does not matter how far you go in the wrong direction — a U-turn is possible whenever you discover you are on the wrong path.

Bishop David Oyedepo shared a testimony about embarking on a journey with a friend. He felt in his spirit that he should not proceed. He kept going, encountering challenges, until he heard an audible voice saying, "If you move an inch from here, you are gone." He stopped the car and made a U-turn. He told his friend, "The Lord does not want us to go on this journey." The friend said, "I knew it too." Neither of them wanted to be the first to say it. God's servant said both of them would have died for going on a journey that God did not command.

Nothing Is Compulsory Except Making Heaven

Nothing in this life is compulsory except to make heaven. No business appointment is compulsory. The question is not the appointment — the question is whether you will still be alive to keep it.

The people you are so concerned about, for whom you are forcing yourself to do things you are not meant to do, will continue with their lives if anything happens to you. Whenever you do anything that causes you to lose your peace, make a U-turn.

Don't live life by sentiment. Live life by principles.

1. Open yourself to the leadership of God, and he will direct your life.
2. Ask God to lead you beside the still waters and your green pastures in life.
