The God that I have come to know can make all things possible.
Luke 1:45 — "There shall be a performance of those things which the Lord has said."
There shall be a performance. Not a possibility — a performance. Not a hope — a performance. If you believe it, God says there is going to be a performance. And I asked myself: with whom are all things possible? Who will perform my dreams? Who will bring to pass my heart's desires? Who will give me grace to realize what God has placed inside me?
When I was a young preacher, people would say to me: "Do you need money?" I would give them my address. I would wait and wait and wait. Some I would call and remind: "You said you were going to help me." Until one day God said to me: "They didn't call you — I called you. Don't put My workload on people. Put it on Me."
Don't make it hard for yourself, because My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
When someone says they will give you a million and doesn't — be glad. Not sad. Because what man cannot do, God will do. What she had done was tell me that somewhere, somehow, one day God was going to use somebody to give that amount. And God always exceeds what man promised.
The Righteous Shall Flourish
The righteous person is not one who has never struggled. The righteous person is one whose trust is in God — and because of that trust, flourishing is inevitable. Not because of their connections, not because of their background, not because of their education — but because of the word God spoke over them.
There shall be a performance. The word God spoke over your life will be performed. It may have been delayed. It may have looked impossible. But God does not forget what He said.
I was the first in Nigeria to preach that it is the will of God to be blessed — that to have a car is the will of God, to marry a beautiful wife is the will of God, to be happy is the will of God. When I came to ministry, every pastor seemed poor by religious design. I met the gospel in poverty. I took it from poverty to prosperity — not because I was clever, but because I believed what God said.
God told me: if you answer My call, I will make you an example. And I have been that example — not to boast in myself, but to demonstrate that the righteous shall flourish.
Psalm 92:12 — The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
The palm tree does not depend on rainfall alone — it draws from deep underground. The cedar does not bend in the wind. The righteous flourish from a source that cannot be dried up or blown down.
Your flourishing is not conditional on the economy. It is not conditional on who is in government. It is not conditional on what your boss decides. It is conditional on whether God's word is alive in you and whether you believe it.
Father, let there be a performance of those things You have said. Every word spoken over our lives — let it be performed. Not some of it. Not part of it. Let it all be performed. You called us. You are our source. Provide as only You can. In Jesus name.
There shall be a performance of those things the Lord has said. What was spoken over you shall come to pass. The righteous shall flourish. You shall flourish — because God said so, and He performs what He promises.
